  1. Yeah, they pretty much sell a QWERTZ variant while not providing any visuals of the layout on the website. I don't doubt you can get used to the QWERTY one, but you can kind of tell how the QWERTZ layout was shaped by the community.
  2. To be fair, speaker and key positions were things you could see right away on the website. I do agree the shifted layout isn't ideal, but that's why I'm going for a QWERTZ model myself. Thanks for giving someone a chance to acquire it faster if they feel the need however.
  3. Batch 3 is really weird. It might have been the retailer batch, but at the same time it was said it would cover most IGG QWERTZ orders. The shipment that was supposed to arrive this week in the UK (very bold to state on a Thursday, didn't work out it seems) might be that one after all. Is this an EU only batch? We would've heard of any phones going out if it wasn't I suppose. We're still pretty early in the queue. It sounds fair to assume most of the ones early in line are very enthusiastic about getting a keyboard slider and would let us know instead of staying completely silent (so not
  4. Some stuff in SystemUI Tuner does work, but it's danger zone. Test your changes in an emulator perhaps. Though even there I had the same setting not break as hard (System UI just kept crashing and could still use the screen to revert the setting). Stuff like forcing immersive mode or hiding status bar icons seem to work. We always think we know what we're doing, but stuff sometimes actually ends up going wrong after all.
  5. I think part of the rotation issues are due to how the Pro1 probably does the keyboard-based rotation. https://github.com/tdm/android_kernel_idealte_msm8998/commit/f8538cc530b9b9894515f5d89705d11ea429bf46#diff-b7514391d387e036df07f67353c9d215 For Pro1, the input capabilities to set tablet mode and rotation lock were added. Without fully understanding the surrounding code and no device I can only put this up as a wild guess, but it's likely that this is all what's used when the keyboard is opened. Apps not supporting tablet mode may not care about it. It might not even rotate the orientation
  6. The Facebook app must've advanced quite a bit in the recent years for it to be janky on a Snapdragon 835...
  7. Not only that, it's the gesture based home button thing. If you're looking for the 3 touch buttons, you can get them back in the settings. Somewhere in the gesture menu I think.
  8. 3 times 20 is almost half of the highest serial number we publicly know is in the wild. Support told me two weeks ago my device would be in the next shipment. Looks like it was, but I wasn't the recipient. Your general response for someone not feeling the same as you seems a bit over the top. There's no need to be that degrading.
  9. And digitec.ch says 9 - 11 days if you order now, with 5 units ordered from the manufacturer. Didn't quite hit me at first, but it has kind of sunken in now. What the hell, F(x)tec? I will not cancel my order as I still want a keyboard slider, would lose the value of my IGG coupon and overall won't get away any cheaper elsewhere. But for sure I will never pre-order anything from you again. It clearly leaves me in a worse spot than anyone else, even when "prioritized". I can stomach and excuse a lot of things, but this was 100% avoidable. Conspiracy theory time: The shipment that went o
  10. I hate throwing fuel into the fire, but I do have to question what ever happened to this third batch or whatever you want to call it. While they keep being silent about our units, the DragonBox Shop has confirmed they received their shipment of QWERTZ devices. DragonBox Shop customers (earliest possible order date November 12th) are going to receive their units before QWERTZ IGG backers. This is not cool. Was that shipment sent at the same time as our devices? Fair enough, but why the heck is not there not single peep about them now? Where are they?
  11. Out of curiosity, who even does the device assignments and what data does it depend on? The current shipment has been sent from the factory end of last week. Surely it's already past the HK hub stage from that (or at least I really hope that's the case). So it's not somebody checking what devices actually are in the shipment and assigns based on that (rather than working with just a list or something). On the other hand Erik doesn't seem to know 100% where the boxes are right now or anyone else following up, but they're are somewhere on the way. But if the devices are on the way and assign
  12. This stuff makes me wonder if there's not a way to have the system partition read-only except the files which are layered by Magisk, even for applications using root access. Though I guess it's not terrible as it is right now as long as userdata stays untouched when restoring.
  13. The key rollover, or lack thereof is kind of disappointing considering Fx, back when they actually tweeted interesting things, actually once advertised the keyboard being gaming friendly. I hate touchscreen for gaming as much as everyone else here, but I gotta be honest: It's not that bad for one-button games, which is all the Pro1 keyboard can be used for right now it seems. Really hope the keyboard matrix is capable of some more than this. Conspiracy theory time: This is why they didn't get into contact with the GameGripper guy... well I sure hope not.
  14. I suppose it usually works, but I don't get what you're trying to tell me. What I was hinting at is that Verizon could actively check the IMEI when using activated SIM cards as to make sure it's being used in the right device. They don't seem to actually do that, which is nice in a way, but kind of defeats the purpose of device activation as they want it.
  15. The feel when another wave of devices finally gets delivered
  16. I don't know what they're doing, but it sounds plausible to me that they might be storing your device's IMEI as part of the registration. They are stupid for only letting selected devices on the network, but I don't think they're that stupid to allow a simple switch to work like that.
  17. I suppose the alpha keyboard behavior is not further customizable, right? Sticky modifiers sound neat, but I don't like the idea of getting auto-capitalization. I may be overthinking it since it's been a while since my last keyboard phone, but I want a hardware keyboard to get as far away from auto-correct and friends as possible.
  18. From what I've read, for AdAway to work nicely you just need to enable "systemless hosts" in Magisk Manager and not change the target hosts file.
  19. Bad news for you. It's exactly UPS in EU and FedEx in US.
  20. I wish I was posting on my own behalf, but here's a Japanese tweet that will likely not result in a forum post by itself: They seem happy about the shipping notice. So yeah, that's one for APAC.
  21. https://www.android.com/intl/en_uk/enterprise/management/zero-touch/
  22. Oh, they are reasonably talkative when everything's fine. Just look at the posts made when the first devices shipped. This however, also leads me to believe not much is fine right now. Maybe even beyond what we're speculating already.
  23. Editing the answers should be fine (dunno about adding more tho). What I did to screw everything up last time was to delete the question and add it back. Maybe it only screwed up that time because I used the exact same question string, but no guarantees for that.
  24. Were there any QWERTZ units assigned since the first batch? Doesn't seem like it to me and it would be kinda weird to skip that layout entirely this time around (don't do that please, that's my unit!).
