Hello, I would just like to briefly give you the current status. I sent an email to fx support ('[email protected]' and '[email protected]') on April 26, 2024. I immediately received an automatic response that my request had been received. To date I have not received any further response. I don't think there's anything else to come. For the few remaining fans of Pie, I have just uploaded a new build of my unofficial LineageOS 16.0 for Pro1 (SDS835). At http://findus.zwergenschaenke.net/~puma/linux.html#lineagepro1 go for the ROM dated "20240515". After many months of near-inactivity on my side, this build again introduces significant improvements (or so I think). As usual, it gives you security patches backported from the ASB up to May 2024. Beyond that, I finally upgraded the bundled version of WebView -- which had not been updated in 2 years -- to Chromium 124.0.636.82 (the version used by recent LOS 21).

Also, though not in the update unless I skimmed too fast, on the Story page with specs it looks like they are making the Minimal logo button a touch pad. Eventually they are going to have to stop these design swings and get this thing prototyped. Lol. Right now they seem to have a Titan Slim with a Titan Pocket

Because it does not have the specific code in the boot proess which checks that setting. Originally Pro1's firmware also did not have this check, it came through an update.

Ok ... I don't have pro1, i only have pro1x. I will try the second display i bought, perhaps it realy comme from a pro1. But, can someone explain to me, why only pro1 + stock android 9 can update the touch panel ? Is there a specific driver? I don't realy understand the world of android, compared to the PC world. On Pc you cant install particaly wahtever you want, On android devices is like your luky is you can do what you want...

Right - I have tested those displays (with Pro1) but had no time publishing the results yet. However, smaller or bigger black corners were there, they clearly seem to be part of former Pro1 replaced bits as part of qality assurance.

I remember it being promoted as well but not for Indiegogo. Instead, I think they wanted to send it to their very first 'Preorders' but they changed their mind quite early which was okay for us all. Nobody really wanted these earphones. I don't know if anybody actually got them since I believe somebody said that their quality was very bad.

The forum was made invisible for the public and loading times are getting slower and slower. Not a single official FxTec employee is seen anymore. My guess is that the forum will vanish completely in the next months. Where will we meet when this forum gets deleted? Reddit? Discord?

Well it's more profitable to sell them behind our backs instead of deliver them of course... Where was this 'pre-order bonus' mentioned? I don't want/need them, but I want to verify these were promised at some point in the campaign.

As far as I know, there is no solution for the Pro1x unless you have access to a Pro1. If you connect the display to a Pro 1, you can use the Pro 1 method of flashing/reflashing Stock Android 9 and then put the display back into the Pro1x and it will work properly. However, there is no patch we know of for the Pro1x using those displays.

i also recived two of them, and there is black spots on bottoms right and left, and there is dead zone on left and right of the screen on first touch (if i touch on center and go to the edge my finger is detected on the edge, bu if i directly touch the edge, nothing is detected) so I have the margin problem, and I don't know how to correct it, someone can explain how to do that?

They have said the new dimensions are closer to the Passport than the Key 2. Actually, the new changes make this more tempting to me. The elimination of a front facing camera is strange, but given the get away from social media aspect of their philosophy, maybe getting away from selfies is a good thing and you probably aren't going to use an eInk phone for Zoom. I agree, they are never going to hit September for delivery. They'll be lucky to hit Christmas. I predict post Chinese New Year.

That confirms they never had working prototype. If they are going to have the first kick off meeting with the manufacturer during this month then the project has barely even started. Current schedule sounds very optimistic. The upgrade from Helio G88 to Helio G99 is very nice since Helio G99 is produced using TSMC 6nm process instead of 12nm (used in G88). I think you are right. If they only produced those 200 pcs listed in eBay then I understand why they did not deliver them since many people here did not even need/want those earphones (including me). However, if there is more units then it is little bit strange. Why not to deliver if they had produced them already? To my understanding the whole point of forgetting earphones was to cut costs.

Interesting Minimal update. They have ostensibly, theoretically revamped the entire phone. Those mounting brackets and RPi4 CMs might be official spare parts for the Linxdot miner that is/was marketed by F(x)tec. Still strange these items pop up on Ebay.

Update : feedback history shows additional information, sorry I initially didn't see it because eBay only shows item-specific feedback by default, and spotting that filter is tricky. they bought something from Cashconverters_lancashire at some point ; they also sold the following items in the past : Antenna Mounting Bracket, U-bolt Galvanised Clamp for Helium Mining Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4, WIFI 8GB RAM, 16GB eMMC - CM4108016 That's suspicious at best...

They're using FX Technology Ltd's VAT ID number, and also selling this PowerPax power supply. I can't say if this indicates whether it's official or not, but I'm pretty sure we'll never get an official reply to this question.
