From what I've read, for AdAway to work nicely you just need to enable "systemless hosts" in Magisk Manager and not change the target hosts file.

Since you have used the phrase about Eric being honest a couple of times, I'd just like to say that I don't think Eric has *ever* been dishonest. I think information he has given at one point in time has turned out to be not how things ended up, but I don't think that makes him a liar. I do think it's great that he is communicating more frequently. 🙂

You'll be able to upgrade the Pro1 to 10 once that version is available. You will not need to buy a different device. Software support is one of the huge advantages of the Pro1. You'll be able to run a custom ROM such as LineageOS (who is already developing for Pro1) and the factory firmware is receiving updates as well.

I think we have all been feeling this for a while. And I know its easy for me to say as I am feeling like there is a good chance of me getting a phone in January. But just remmeber that Erik is now responding with information more regular and is being honest. WE need to hold on for that last push and all being well and good there will be a great rteaction to the phone and more to follow,. Ohhh, I feel so sorry for you, @EskeRahn 😞 I know a lot about cancers.. Both our Shepards were affected by cancer and both time it was the end 😞 so I guess it was fast and unexpected 😞 I am sure it was nice time for both of you, you have tons of memories and on the other hand, ten years is quite a lot for this size of a dog, isn´t it? 🙂 R.I.P.

Any other EU customer with stock assigned in the second batch? The message arrived on Nov. 29th but I don't think it has entered the UK warehouse yet (at least no tracking code yet, though the support thought the phone would likely be delivered before Dec. 10th), I hope the freighter didn't sink on the way to the Southampton port. 😮 On a more serious note, I'm just hoping there is no significant blocker behind this small delay, and that parcels can be shipped to arrive by the end of this week so that I can play all week-end. But my hopes are getting thinner!

Germany here, paid a few months ago - just when it went from 650euro (2 days before I ordered) to full price (736euro). The wait is the same, guess I just wasn't lucky enough... QWERTZ-layout btw.

Ah, I see. The VAT seems to be a lesser issue in the USA. In my experience they don't bother with duty and sales tax for small personal shipments. In fact one time I imported a 600# air compressor directly from India and had to get customs clearance. To my surprise they just stamped it , no fee. Only when a large amount is being imported commercially the bureaucrats get to work ... as FxTec has already found out 😞 The final delivery is definitely a local problem, can be even an individual driver issue.
