  1. So you use your fingers โ€“ but then you always have to have some kind of support to put the device on? Me, I often need to type with the device in my hands, and I wouldn't know how to do it other than with my thumbs, or maybe with one hand holding it and the other typing, which is even less comfortable than by thumb...

  2. I've only played with Cosmo for a while but own Pro1, my observations from that: Pro1: faster nicer SoC, smaller form factor, only really suitable for thumb typing but really nice feeling keyboard. Definitely my favorite of the two because I primarily want to use it where I don't have a table to sit it on and type with thumbs. Also the way it snaps open/closed just makes me feel happy. The curved screen is the biggest downside in my opinion, it's harder to protect and more prone to impacts due to covering two sides of the front with glass. Cosmo: sadly mediatek SoC, very big phone, keybo

  3. I had the Gemini, not the cosmo. However my opinion is the Pro1 is far more useful to me. TL;DR My Gemini is fragile, the hinge is plastic, and will eventually break ( and I'm taking good care of my devices ). The metallic plates are locked in place by tiny asperities in the plastic body. This is ageing fast and I start to loose the metal plates just by opening the device. The only good thing is the screen is protected when closed, but, the keys leave marks on it, as the screen is in contact with the keyboard. So use a screen protector film... There is two usbC port, but only one can

  4. Hi Guys, Just an update of the progress. After the front case breaking twice due to drops, I made it a bit beefier. I also Cut out a section so that the front case does not sit on the first row keys. Not sure if it is enough for people with bigger fingers or with long finger nails. I'd need to find someone with thicker fingers to try it out. I also made some more adjustments to the the back case for usability. I don't have super detailed pictures of the back case adjustments but I am fairly confident that I am close to finished product. Here are some shots. If yo

  6. I suspect you need to go to to Settings, System, Languages & Input, physical keyboard, tap Fxtec Pro 1. When the box pops up tap set up keyboard layouts. Then make sure all keyboard layouts are unchecked. Then arrow back and it should show your layout as default. Without FinQwerty, picking *any* keyboard layout will mess up being able to use the FN key.

  7. I have been using mine for three months now. And up till now the two most annoying issues are the rotation lock/fault and the inability to send pictures from within Google Hangouts. That last one really bugs me out. And I can imagine the fingerprint sensor. But since using a bumper case with a cut out, that has been reduced to an absolute minimal annoyance. Ow and this phone is way to slippery... Still, one happy Pro1 camper. Apart from communications hat is.

  8. I don't get this thumb typing thing... Have never used just my thumbs on the pro 1, or my old D4 for that matter, it would be so slow. From reading about the Cosmo on other places seems the software has many bugs... sorry, many more bugs.

  12. The ebay version is no longer available, but I noticed this is also available on the wish app (and perhaps therfore also on Ali Express, but can't check that yet). Pictures are very similar to these and colorscheme is the same. Going to order one to see how the quality turns out, but if someone else want to check it out, it's described on Wish as follows (see attached picture) (just noticed part of the description is missing, but it's also available for the huawei p20 pro)

  13. Not sure I'm following this. Even without key remapping, the keyboard is perfectly usable if a little weird. You can certainly get a question markโ€”Fn (slant arrow)+L FinQwerty restores using the shift for all num row symbols, but can't for ? or /. FN+L and FN+P is a little strange, as I said, but it's learnable. Not having TWRP is inconvenientโ€”I've twice had to reflash my phone using factory images and both times had to completely rebuild it. The second rebuild was my fault because I had failed to notice I let Titanium Backup use internal memory, which is useless. ๐Ÿ˜„ But the fact is

  17. In my mind, the best way to keep people from losing faith in the product when there are production delays is to be up front about the delays and keep the communication flowing. People can easily get antsy and impatient if all they hear is silence. It is the same concept behind hold music and the message that plays assuring the person on hold that their call is important. In this case it is hearing silence about a product that they likely have already been billed for. In all honesty, we would like to hear something from you guys at least weekly on the forum here. Even if there is

  20. This One Works Perfect: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/153298929217 Wallet closes perfectly (No Mods required). A little thinker than some other cases. Phone is removable while still protected in removable case. Cutting required to access charge port, finger scanner, top speaker and headphone jack. No cutting required for power and volume. The raised buttons on case are slightly mis-aligned but work perfectly.

  21. It is not quite the same. We got a system like the one @SchattengestaIt describes in Denmark too. And they have closed almost all post offices. And have a few shops do the supplement of the box-system. The idea could be described as shared post-boxes. We get a mail/sms that tell us we got a parcel, and it includes a one-time open code. You can also send parcels by buying the postage on line, and mark the parcel suitable (or use stamps), and put it in a free box.

  22. Yes it should but some development is needed. I guess you would notably need to check if you are in a phone call to avoid locking the phone while calling for instance. It's usually straight forward and more reliable that the proximity sensor.
