Got a multiple-times-cracked screen (as it fell down multiple times on the ground without a protection... now I've got a nice leather cover :), but it's still working. Note that there's no usable write support for NTFS in the linux kernel; what you see on linux desktops is ntfs-3g, a full implementation of ntfs that works as an app and uses the kernel FUSE api.

Apparently recent phones from the factory are leaving with more up to date software and security patch. (latest I saw was April update with also 2020 April security patch) How come these are not pushed out to everyone? I am still on the March update with 2019 Sep security patch. When I try to update it says it's the most recent but that's obviously not true.

Instability issue for me: I have been connected with a service chat via google chrome - i got disconnected every time i opened the keyboard - reproducable for 4 times. This hast been enough instability for me as a paramedic. Here in the community the lineage os also seems to be not to be stable - so unfortunately no smartphone realiable in emergencies to look up medicament dosage for childsc for example. I have to say, mine was also unstable the first week. But after that, no more reboots. I do recall having had reboot issues in combination with 2.4GHz WiFi. Nonetheless, giving up on a phone after 1 hour as you've been waiting for delivery several 100000 hours 🥴

Unfortunately the pandemy is leaving away and those brave people, who still trust them and waited for such a long time were now just overpassed by new orders. That is very strange. I've never seen anything like that. Out of curiosity, I searched the bootloader source code for that string, and found ... nothing. 😕 If you send me a wireshark dump of the usb traffic, maybe I can find a clue?

I agree with most of what you said. Except perhaps the part about comparing app permissions to a desktop OS. Every desktop OS allows apps (we used to call them programs or executables, remember?) to do pretty much whatever they want whenever they want. I think there are at least two examples so far which allow installation of (some) Chrome extensions in an Android browser: Kiwi and Yandex. My experiences (with the latter) are mixed, though (not even wanting to get into the subject of data protection here) and I have no idea how the developers accomplished it, either.

Any updates on which GCam port works best so far? The SnapDragon camera is horrendous to use.

Lineage should support ext4 for sdcards. I expect I'll add exFAT support at some point now that Microsoft has opened up the patents. Unfortunately, I doubt you'll see exFAT on stock anytime soon. The most likely path is for Qualcomm to add exFAT support as a standard driver in their Q kernel. But I haven't looked to see if they did that, and I have no idea if IdeaLTE is even working on Q for the Pro1.

Not yet. I hope they will include at least exFAT in a later update, but I would rather use F2FS instead for longer SD-card life... however, I see no high chance for the latter...

That isn't the launcher. That's Pie. You can change it back to the old style in Settings->System->Gestures turn off swipe up on home.

Not even 6 months of use and it looks like my left Ctrl key does not give feedback anymore. Thankfully it is still working, it just won't click anymore, so it is hard to tell if you are pressing it properly.

My order number is qwerety of 29xxx. When I inquire about when to ship, there is no reply. We made a reservation in early August 2019, and payment is settled on that day.

It doesn't if you open it using the camera button, locked or unlocked. Clearly stated on the spreadsheet the only workaround is to open it from the launcher.
