Are they lineage compatible? If so, it shouldn't be hard to build. Also aokp should have those features. I'll be making pro1 official for aokp soon.4 points

This method works! I just tested it π. Here is a video. I will write a tutorial later if you guys are interested. The delay for screen lock can be as long as you want but the system is only able to show max 30min in the UI. Needed apps: Tasker MacroDroid Keyboard/Button Mapper For some reason Keyboard/Button Mapper is not able to launch Tasker shortcuts so I had to make MacroDroid macro that triggers Tasker. Then I used Keyboard/Button Mapper to trigger MacroDroid. Chain reaction: Keyboard/Button Mapper -> MacroDroid -> Tasker3 points

I have special question. Can anyone take a look and made AospExtended rom? Lineage Os is not bad, but have missing some for me important functions. For example is not possible to fully edit and add navigation keys. What i need is menu-home(recents)-back-search...as on my old phones. This modification was possible on older LOS versions...but from 16 isnt π Another what will be good to change is recents menu layout back to oreo style. This all can be changed in AEX rom. OR...will be possible to put these extensions into LOS? thx π2 points

Caffeine mode! Love both the digital and the real life caffeines. π2 points

I have the icons there but I haven't changed any settings. They were there from the start. However, I do not use them because they seem to work oddly when the Landscape orientation lock is enabled from the stock settings.2 points

I think there were at least two apps with update in the name. (I tried all of them) I might also have cleared data and not only the cache of the apps.2 points

I think keeping screen on is not the best option as it will drain battery. i would think best way would be that screen sleeps as usual but touching it would just wake it up to home screen2 points

I wished it would switch to speaker phone while opening the keyboard during a call. Phone app landscape mode support is also missing while on a call. I'm pretty sure E7 would do that too.2 points

I wrote code to rate limit the fingerprint reader in order to reduce that eagerness. But since the fingerprint hardware driver is closed source, I had to put this between the driver and Android. This means the fingerprint driver is still detecting your finger and (trying to) pass that information up, but I'm discarding it. It is possible that the driver has some limit where it disables itself. Or perhaps I made some mistake in my rate limit code.2 points

Hello everyone, Messing around with my pro1 since yesterday, having fun so far. i was browsing the settings for the snapdragon camera app and i found the toggle "Space shoot" i can't find anything about it on google, anyone know it's function? Also when i first used the app it showed a preview of previously made photo's in the lower left corner (in portraitmode) but now i don't see it anymore. To check if i made a decent picture i have to go to google photo's manually, is there a setting i missed/changed or do i have to link a gallery app to the camera app somehow.1 point

As some of you might know, i'm a die-hard Nokia N900 user, and going from that to the Pro1 has been a culture shock. Android instead of Maemo, a radically different keyboard layout, the much faster sd835 CPU and so on. But, there are things I miss, like: Being able to unlock the device without using the lockscreen, like pressing the power button twice Not being able to unlock the device by touching the display after it autolocks No proper Notes app like osso-notes on the N900 No sticky modifier keys like sticky Left Shift Worst part of it all: NO ROCKBOX /s1 point

Looks like both AospExtended and AICP have Lineage compatible device trees. So I can look into building those.1 point

v10.6.2b is listed to be compatible with poco x2 phones only. You need an APK for the f1. PocoSv10.4.apk works. I admit I actually had installed the F1v9.6_6.2.030 linked directly in the XDA post, but I went ahead and checked the newer builds. The one you downloaded doesn't install indeed, but the other one does. Can't say if that newer build is better or worse on the Pro1 yet, though.1 point

Thanks. I cleared the cache and data. Icons are now there in the dropdown menu. clearing cache and data is becoming the standard procedure for all problems.1 point

When I noticed the problem of blurred pictures, I initially thought it was a bug in the camera app. Then I used another app and I did some more tests at home and I thought the problem was solved... Since a few days, I am on vacation and the problem jumped in my face again! My solution: always have someone in the foreground when I take a landscape photo! Well, not really a solution, but for now, it's okay.1 point

thanks. it worked. i had to clear data for both of them. Menu is back.1 point

I tried several different gallery apps, that all worked in landscape also. None of them had any specific hardware keyboard usage I'm aware of (some respect arrow keys and Enter/Esc). So you could use just about any you can find, with a functionality that suits you the best. Personally I have used QuickPic for a decade, but it is more for the way the editor works than it is related to the Pro1 specifically. Especially I like that it is so super easy to down-sample and/or crop for MMS/web usage. Others have thing close to similar, but I keep going back to QuickPic. BTW a change in qp a year or t1 point

So Fx Service does exactly that but it is triggered by either case close or keyboard close events. Adding that feature with a timeout should be straight forward.1 point
-
Yes E7 can do that. it has a keyboard slideout section in setting that has these options1 point
-
That could also be done with MacroDroid and Keyboard/Button Mapper. Atleast there is a setting for it but I did not test it.1 point
-
That feature can be automatized with MacroDroid and Keyboard/Button Mapper. I just tested that it works. Also, you can have screen timeout quick tile on stock too. There are apps for that in Play Store like Caffeine.1 point

This could be possible with Tasker. Please, check the guide from below for reference. Obviously the trigger has to be changed from WiFi to keyboard state. According to the comments the max delay for screen lock is 30min in Android Pie for AutoTools. Alternatively you can use Custom Settings action for longer delay. Permissions needs to be tweaked via ADB. Disable and enable your lock screen at will (No Root!) BTW, have you tried Smart Lock? It can be very handy also. EDIT: Yes it is working. See more from below.1 point

Hey @tdm. The folks over at the unofficial discord said this may interest you. I tried using the factory restore tool with both the July 2020 and October 2019 qfps to reflash stock from LineageOS. Pro1 got past boot splash, but then kept boot looping into the bootloader. Selecting "reboot to recovery" would loop right back into the bootloader. I was able to flash the lineage recovery and get LOS installed again, so at least I can use the phone. Would like to have the option of getting back to stock though, and your factory restore tool seems like the best option. Thank you for putt1 point

The phone works great on Verizon so long as you : 1. Run stock 2. Fully update the OS If you want root PM me.1 point

Having Tasker set the display timeout based on keyboard out state seems viable if nothing else comes along.1 point

Lineage has a quick settings tile to keep the screen on. It looks like a coffee cup. Not exactly the same but it might work for you.1 point
-
Optimally with an option allowing the screen to time out, but without locking.1 point

I got that on pocket cameras too. I have to choose shorter than "infinity" with manual focus taking photos of the moon... So not unusual on "Manual", but obviously the AF should not go that far.1 point

Just thought I'd resurrect my solution for all the newcomers. I hate cases and, going back to my Palm PDAs, have never used cases. However, the back of the Pro1 is pretty slick. So I put a black matte textured skin on and it gives it just enough grip that I never drop the phone in the first place (haha famous last words. π ) The skin is very snug and months later shows no wear or coming loose at the edges. Perfect solution for me, YMMV.1 point

I would stay away from QuickPic. I used to swear by it, but it is now owned by Cheetah Mobile a notorious spyware publisher. I replaced it with Gallery Pro by Simple Mobile for which your description is appropriate. If you are using an old pre-Cheater Mobile apk, then you are ok, but folks should be careful.1 point

It did work for applying immersive mode. But I don't think I'll be experimenting with any any more untested tweaks. What I did particularly that caused the crash was set it to only display 1 quicklaunch icon. My actual goal was zero, but saw that setting and decided to try just to see what it did... oops!1 point

They already supports the Pro1 http://android.onse.fi/finqwerty/pro1.html So it definitely would be a nice option to have. π1 point

Maybe finquerty can be updated to do that?1 point

To enable sticky keys you need to be rooted, but then it is rather easy. Go to /system/usr/local/keychars. In this folder there should be a file called Vendor_XXXX_Product_XXXX.kcm, where the XXXX are two sets of four hexadecimal digits. Since I don't have the pro1 I don't know how they are called. If there is more than one of these, open them up and try to find if it says someting like "Built-in keyboard" at the beginning of the file. In this file look for a line starting with the word "type" (without quotation marks). Change this line so that it reads "type ALPHA" (again, with1 point

Capslock behaviour is different tho. Under capslock, all letters are capitlozed until you turn it off, and it doesnt affect characters with a shift function, still have to shift to get them even under capslock. A sticky modifer just acts like it stuck until the next SINGLE keypress, and affects everything, not just capitols. I assume the reason sticky shift isnt working for number symbols on pro1 is cuz regular shift isnt working either, nothing related to sticky.1 point
-
Could well be, especially on qwertZ, where caps lock is represented by an up side down shift arrow (like the ancient Shift lock on typewriters) .1 point

The only modifier that sticks is the left shift? The other shift and ctrl keys don't stick? What about the funky arrow one has to use with numbers instead of shift (by design for some reason), does that stick?1 point
