  1. in my case, the update seems to have really fixed the issue related to the "Wifi signal lost => phone crashing". In the past days, I have switched off my second wifi access point and connected directly to the router only (to test). Previously the phone would crash within 30 seconds due to loss of wifi signal. in the past days, not a single crash (as they promised). What surprises me is that now the wifi signal reception on the phone is constant, even in the most remote room (without the second wifi access point). It seems that the signal reception has improved (or is it the weathe

  2. One thing I did differently is I go over the matrix twice, because my anti-ghosting is somewhat naive in that it gets confused if the state of the matrix changes during the scan (so i re-scan to be sure that's not possible). It's probably possible to do this in one go when you do the anti-ghosting better and I believe the way you approached it should work from reading the code, however I haven't tested it. So I don't think it's relevant but since we are possibly looking for a difference between the drivers i figured it's worth mentioning.

  3. Stock has had two keyboard drivers. The original one that IdeaLTE wrote does not do polling at all, it is entirely interrupt based. As a result, it cannot detect many two-key combinations. A lot of people noticed this and the driver was disliked by many people. @netman rewrote the keyboard driver to use polling. This is the current stock driver and this is the code that I started with to write the Lineage driver. It polls at 15ms. My driver defaults to 40ms, but the fast poll option in settings changes it to 20ms. So... I am not understanding how the st

  4. Yeah but support sold you the whole upper part of the phone, not just the screen.

  5. There was a significant shipment in Nov/Dec 2019-- that's when I received mine (shipped in Nov, turned back by US Customs, reshipped from Hong Kong and received about Dec 10th). There were quite a few people who received devices then, as I recall, though I have no documentation and am too lazy to pore over the threads. 😉

  6. So The Fxtec Team was able to help me out, here is what they wrote: We manually verify bank transfer payments. We will go though them this week, and the order status will update to "Processing" by the end of this week once we confirm the payment. So they do not verify the transfers continuously but they go through all of them regularely which is why it takes some time.

  7. Sideloaded (as I always do) the 07 SEP update. Went very smoothly. Don't think there is anything new except the 05 SEP security patch from Google. However, no hiccups.

  8. Hello, I hope my post is in the right place here. I am not a professional but love the F (x) tecPro1. I have a problem and hope someone in the forum can help me. My F (X) tecPro1 is paired with my SmartWatch (Garmin Fenix5). I have activated call diversion in my F (X) tecPro1. Every time the status of the F (X) tecPro1 cellular connection changes, I get a notification on the F (X) tecPro1. This is also passed on to my smartwatch. It's very annoying. It cannot be switched off because in "function settings > Apps & notifications > Show all apps > Show system processes > Tel

  11. I confess I rarely shoot video with phones, but I would expect such a noise suppression feature, if available, to be activated for voice calls, but never for video recording... There shouldn't anything at all be cancelled out... Edit: Tried it again with my Moto Z3 Play – unfortunately, it does it, too, although the cutoff level seems very low...

  12. I don't think it's related to the circuitry at all, I believe there's (compile time) settings for this. Pretty sure it filters out faraway based on phase offset between the two microphones and has a noise gate on that too. Some phones expose the unprocessed audio as an additional audio source if I am not wrong, but this isn't the case on the Pro1.

  13. The mic is very much tuned for picking up nearby voice and nothing else, I believe this can be fixed in software fairly easily but wouldn't know how off-hand. I've tried many apps to see if any of them are able to record the audio unprocessed but that doesn't seem to be the case.

  14. I gave up fixing it 25MAR. They notified me around 19MAY that replacements would be likely available, I sent it the next day or so. I received the replacement about 03SEP, in retail packaging, with a bit of a finish irregularity under the IMEI sticker, which I couldn't say if it just slipped through QC, if a cosmetic second was selected as a replacement device, or if it was a return. either way, it works correctly. I was told there would be no retail packaging, and they offered a substantial discount for a service replacement that was no fault of theirs whatsoever, so I'm fine with it in any

  15. You need a noisier washing machine.... 😇 There seem to be some sort of cut off level so that at levels below this nothing is recorded. In some contexts that can make a lot of sense but in others not, so what is lacking is a way for the user to select this level.

  16. The sound is the small support arm when closed. Try the shake when open. Can be remedied with a tiny piece of self adhesive felt or rubber, as described in other threads. The end of the sim tray can wriggle a bit compared to the tray itself. But not to the extent it can rattle on my units. Try holding a finger on is while shaking to eliminate as a possible culprit.

  17. On my unit, the SIM tray does make some rattling when I touch it. It does not make any sound if I shake the phone. Signal strenght is pretty much the same that I had with Xperia XZ1 Compact. However, I have noticed that my magnetic flip case makes connection worse. If I don't use it I get better signal.

  18. Actually my 6 weeks theory is not based on any facts. That July batch was the one and only batch since Covid-19 lockdown outside of a very small shipments of QWERTZ devices like in May maybe. So far there has been only two significant Pro1 shipments: January 2020 July/August 2020

  21. So ... last update: after applying some regular minor system update (58 megabytes) and a restart, the touchscreen started working again. It seems everything works now as expected, though it is weird I had to do something in order to be able to use "fastboot set_active a". Edit: locking it again (as it was supposed to be), worked, too. Why? Because in general I'd like to be able to use banking apps, that might not work otherwise. Thanks everyone for their efforts! Also: locking the phone erases the data.

  23. Settings -> System -> (I don't know how it's called in english, maybe 'gestures'?) -> On/Off key, at the same place where you can set up the long press action itself. I remember having a faulty display (proximity sensor mesuring wrong numbers) and getting angry over that function a lot. But when it worked it was awesome. Still, I'm very happy with the LineageOS feature and it's very fast and reliable (as well as very usable without getting sore handwrists). It might be a good option for those with stock Android though.

  24. The LED will not melt by itself and although it's not cooled actively (you can actually burn your fingers when holding on it), there will be some safety circuit. Using phone LEDs as a flashlight is common since years. Regarding quick access: If you have LineageOS, you can control the flashlight by holding the power button while the display is off. It won't get faster than that. The Moto G3 had a shaking control which was also quite fast (and probably looked cooler), maybe the code/app can be extracted for other phones. Still, seeing all the advantages of LineageOS I would really re
