yes, you are right, there still are some load at the socket, so no wonder-cure, just reduction.

You can get magnetic connection plugs (that also do data just fine), and this reduces the wear of the usb-port substantially. Have been using that on all my phones since galaxy 6, and BB priv.

An interesting idea, but we need some info from FxTec first a) How many devices are already produced and only awaiting shipment, or perhaps the amount of money needed to send those. Have these recently been charged or checked for the need of charging? Any cost estimate on doiing that before shipping? b) Do more devices need to be produced, to fulfil the 'backlog'? If so, what amounts of money are we talking here including shipping? I'm not talking actual number, but rough ballbark figures. It is an interesting thought that is much more general than this community actually. How to assure information on the web are not lost? I have no idea if it will come with GDPR complications and peoples right to be forgotten?? At the least we should be sure that who ever take the burden of maintaining a copy can not get into troubles somehow over it. Usually it is a matter of the port being too good on the pc. Drivers can also be an issue. I have had problems with usb3.0 but going through a hub also offering 3.0 was enough for me.... (My first attempt was to take a REALLY cheap old hub (usb 1??), and it worked but was extremely slow in transferring, so experimenting further used a usb 3 port on my thunderbolt 4 connected 'docking')

I super optimistically did a dirty flash from official 20 with mtg 13 to unofficial 21 (build in gapps) a few weeks back - and that worked just fine. Report on tiny bug for @npjohnson I Installed the 20240122 version through fastboot/adb, but was presented with an update being available OTA. I downloaded it and let it install, only to see that it has the exact same footprint. In the updater it is now presented as downloaded and available for install... Could there be some ≤ that should have been a < ??

I have had NUMEROUS mails with Parcelup, and they keep asking me to contact the local delivery, and the local delivery says the parcel has not even reached Denmark yet - so in a bit of a limbo... A lot of time wasted on such a fairly cheap parcel - despite the heavy shipping surcharge.

Just tried (very optimistically) to do an update (dirty even!) from lineage-20.0-20240127-nightly-pro1-signed.zip and MindTheGapps-13.0.0-arm64-20230808_213316 to (lineage-20.0-20240122-UNOFFICIAL-pro1.zip using adb sideload and MindTheGapps-13.0.0-arm64-20230808_213316) Despite the gapps clearly being for 13 and not 14. The gapps flash failed, most likely for that reason. It booted though (unsurprisingly) taking a while for first boot. But it works, and got some gapps build in by default. Something with the keyboard-language does not seem to work. US on

That is highly likely. At the least the oddsolutions.us redirects to a page ods.ninja with the text: "My name is Nolen Johnson....". Strictly this could of course be a unsolicited redirect, so no guarantees that it actually is @npjohnson.
