It is a tough one. It would seem fair to do as they wrote. But the IGG policy clearly says that backers should be served before any other. Logically the money you paid for the original Pro1 should be seen as some sort of a backing, but as buyers have other legal rights than backers, it most likely is not the case seen from IGG point of view. How FxTec choose to handle the conflicting interests I do not know.

Labels are there in both landscape and portrait with the default QuickStep launcher on Pro1. But not so on the (different) QuickStep on the Pro1X.

I hope you are right, but if so a bit odd they did not provide a link on the new front page. Time will tell if it will be added later... could also be that they just archived it for now,, until they decide what to do.

It seems that currently all fxtec.com pages except the comunity is reroutetd to a common page. Anyone that knows how to access the other pages, if they still exists that is? Obviosly there is always the webarchive, but.... It is open source, so you can compile your own variant, if you have things set up to do that on a pc.

Currently LOS is pretty useless to me only allowing one layout, quite cumbersome to change when you use multiple languages.

My Primary use of a phone is SMS, and the secondary email, and the third web-browsing. All of which benefits from a keyboard in the right direction. But I certainly agree that many many app-developers are too sloppy (or too incompetent?) to bother about landscape. And this even goes for the most basic stuff from Google like Settings or their Android Market app. But until my eyes move to be in parallel with my spine, I'll prefer landscape....

That is a very mild wording. They got swindled. They paid and the company neither delivered the chips nor their money back. And as this was the company that had most of the blueprints of the Pro1, it meant that FxTec had to start over. They could have just folded after that, and said that our money was lost, but idealists as they are, they tried to recreate a new phone in the same form factor from the money left. Actually they deserve praise for attempting that. For the Pro1, Chen was very often in China to get things going as planned, as "remote" does not work well with China,

I also noticed that it repeatedly awakes the screen. I do not know if that is due to an app trying to (re)connect via bluetooth to a watch I'm testing. (both on the table, less than 50cm apart)

I wonder if that counts as "installed in", or this was actually smuggled in... I guess that if similar was done with mine, they might have been confiscated in customs here as an attempt to smuggle them in. If so a bit odd I have not been contacted by the police. Could also be that some just stole the doll hoping it to contain some drugs.... I mean at an x-ray it might look like some bars of drugs?
