I have been trying to pledge for one of these, but kickstarter just returns after a while when I try to pay, I was in for the lowest price several times, until they sold out, but no luck, and only worked on a higher price after perhaps twenty attempts.... So we will see if I ever receive anything....

I use that too, but it does stick out from the phone a bit. But if used in a case or shell, it is not vulnerable.

It is amazing that though no slider it is still over 20% thicker than the Pro1. But definitely an interesting alternative for the BB users that prefer a portrait keyboard.

Remember that there are TWO apps with the same name "Wireless Update", and that you have to click Ellipsis and "Show system" to have them included on the app list first. I do not know which one is required, I would suggest to clear for both.

....And we all know that assumptions are the mother of all fu.... 😂 But I hope you are right. Though I would definitely try the 'clearing-trick' described by @John Veness first, as we have seen this work earlier. 🙂

Merged your thread into this much larger one, that shows a number of simple DIY solutions, as the base is very close to the size of the Huawei P20 pro. See e.g. this. But definitely nice if we get at fitting base shell, thanks @VaZso for that link 👍

Oh indeed. What we do not know is how much the swindle affected their plans for the original Pro1. Optimistically it could merely be a matter of prioritising getting the Pro1X ready and out on the streets first.

You can (inside the Android market app) select to have apps - including their own ones - autoupdated. And you actually need to remember to explicitly turn this OFF if you do not want them to constantly wasting battery and bandwidth for checking for new versions. Just like on stock. (Note that they choose to ignore your selection, turning it back on, when you install on a new device with same G-account BTW)

The last year with the Corona mess it has been the standard here in Denmark that we were NOT allowed to sign for parcels, not limited to one courier. (Though I was requested to sign for a tonne of wood I got a few days ago, but that was -obviously- not by one of the usual parcel services)

When getting parcels from Germany, I have seen similar, that the German and Danish version of tracking disagrees, and also that the sending site has it marked as delivered before it actually is. I once contacted the courier and they contacted the Danish branch and removed the delivered entry - but when the parcel arrived some hours later, they did not get it back in... so things are only partly automated, with stange bugs as a result.

With emphasize on "sent". What matters is if it is "delivered". But things gets muddy with Brexit if neither the sender nor the recipient are willing to pay the 'fees' added by the courier. BUT if that was the case at the least FxTec should get the info that the packet is on hold at the pirates courier until someone pay the ransom 'fees'. And I have NO idea which part is legally obliged to pay this ransom on the return of a repair sent in before brexit and returned to EU after.

Oh I got it wrong too. And yes indeed as FxTec chose the method of sending it back to @DieBruine it must be them that has to take the struggle with the courier, and must prove that either the device was delivered or compensate with a device or money. (whether FxTec can reimburse a compensation from the courier is their own fight)

I unfortunately do not have any miracle solution. BUT as something went wrong with a flashing I would still suspect the connection. double check that no 'pocket lint' have sneaked in, for all connections, and possibly try a different cord, port or PC. If you do have access to alternatives, try connecting any different USB-C phone, and try to transfer a large amount of data (e.g. images & videos) in both directions and double check that they transferred correctly.
