  1. This is my settings in stock snapdragon camera version 2.0.002 (with bootloader unlocked as stock):
  2. 1). I removed fingerprints and lock screens. Still no thumbnail to gallery. Most everything else should be the same as Zurvan, however I had only launched the camera using the camera button, never the app icon, until I discovered yesterday that using the icon gets me the link to gallery. I'm used to dedicated photo button from PQ and every camera I've ever used in my life, in fact I'd always thought pushing the screen to take photo was bad idea cuz I jiggle camera that way. I haven't taken enough photos to judge the button, but it is indeed mushy. Also, no shutter sound (even whe
  3. Seems you've found the details; do you know when they they announce the ten finalists? If it's based purely on popular vote, seems we're almost surely moving to the next round....
  4. There's already a thread for people to report stock assigned, tracking numbers, and delivery. So I kinda think this thread is pointless, cuz everyone who posts is just confirming they haven't receiving any of those three things yet; once they have one of those,, the other thread becomes relevant. https://community.fxtec.com/topic/2463-got-your-pro1-tracking-number-or-stock-assigned-message-post-here/

  6. If you launch the stock snapdragon camera app with the camera button, there is no thumbnail link to photos. (If you launch it from shortcut or app drawer, it works fine.) Confirmed it affects others; Dec 10 software.
  7. In the US if you expect a phone to just work without mucking around, you buy it from a carrier. If instead you buy a retail/international version of a phone, or move a carrier-provided phone to a new network, there's often some effort involved. Setting APN is trivial. For example, it's on the instructions that came with the SIM card I used, right on the package. The only instruction in fact. And of course described in detail on their website. https://support.freedompop.com/hc/en-us/articles/360026010513-APN-Configuration-Steps-LTE-SIM-Card
  8. Also parts of america have lots of spanish speakers, and so it's often the default layout on public computers at the library for example... makes it easy to do éñ¡¿. And if you have a job that ever invovles other currencies it's handy to have €¥£ around...
  9. True. So you can lock it if you don't want root, or use magisk if you do want root, both ways google pay will work. (This doesn't solve the part I didnt quote tho.)
  10. I use AltGr almost every day. I have US-International as my keyboard layout on PC, then the right alt key acts as AltGr. I live in the City of San José, and how else could I type Pro¹ easily?
  11. Not yet. And I'll be happy enough to do it while rooted and unlocked, but haven't figured that out either.
  12. Supertux! It does require remapping the keys (in the game options menu) to use keys that by default are et up to allow multiple keypresses. Note that supertux calls the Sym key 'left super' and both slant arrows 'right super' and both control keys 'left control'. So in my case, I'm using the right control to jump and the right slant arrow to shoot (and alt/sym on the left to move). On screen controls lake the peek function and I rarely use it, but put that on the arrows works good. You can turn off on the on-screen touchscreen controls overlay thing from the sdl settings at the begi
  13. Pretty sure it can be done in sfos, on PQ it's that way by default... shift shift for capslock, the capslock key functions as left ctrl.
  14. I have indeed complained. Was skeptical before about the shift, and annoyed about lack of slash key even before I received it. Now that i've got it, I'm already imaging how it should have been layed out, and don't see the need for shifted layout at all. Basically unshift it, get rid of the slant arrows, add a slash key down bottom, make the sym key work as alt-gr (for us intl, and of course they need to allow us to select other layouts besides 'default'), swap del and backspace, make esc key work as esc, and make number row in combination with Fx key do F1-F12. Also don't need capslock
  15. A. Both Verizon & Sprint use CDMA for 2G/3G. This doesnt' even require sim card. In the US we started with AMPS (first generation, "1G"), then when digital came around (2G) we had two choices of technology, CDMA & GSM - what did you have for 1G and 2G? ( 0 choices for analog and 1 choice for digital I'm guessing). Regardless, sim cards weren't needed until AT&T and T-Mobile decided to go GSM . The other two carriers, sprint & verizon, chose another technology. Until 4G LTE came around, which uses SIM cards, Sprint/Verizon didn't care about SIM cards, and even now, if you
  16. I agree. I didn't read directions, just trying things. I'm one of those people that read the directions after if cannot figure it out myself. (That doesn't mean I don't read them later, page by page and word for word. ) I figured out (by trail & error - as evidence in my first experience with the phone) that one must turn the phone upside down to insert the sim tray. If I'd read the directions, I'd know that from the beginning. For that matter, if I'd read the diredcions I'd know how to switch from euro to NA plug.... instead of making people watch and yell at the screen how to do i
  17. Broken phone. Warranty time. This should work first time you plug the SIM in, w/o issues. Something's wrong.
  18. Indeed I am. But that video shows I took a while to figure out how to get it in there, and in the end I put it in slot 2. But it works fine. I ddid have to add freedompop apn, but that's not required for real at&t.... I honestly think if AT&T couldn't make it work, there's something wrong....
  19. Since everyone else is screwed anyway... see if you can figure out any problems and report them, so they can be resolved before anyone else discovers them.
  20. omfg, im about to read this after I was referenced, but I wasn't good at figuring out how to put the sim card in, dont use my vid as an example!
  21. I found lots of websites that list dosbox compatibility, and that game is supposed to work. https://www.dosbox.com/comp_list.php?showID=80&letter=S And, for example, here's a list of ~750 games that supposedly work. https://pastebin.com/55uNKUQx Apparently some people consider most old dos games abandon-ware so share freely, they're not hard to find, and of course they're relatively small compared to today's games so you can fit quite a few on your Pro¹'s 128GB. For example that particular list of games takes less than 8GB after extracting (magnet ).
  22. I'll report a new issue. There is an odd crackling sound that I have observed in some games. Not all games and not all audio sources do this. It is most noticeable when volume turned up all loud and the game has a sound then silence. I used 'audio recorder' from f-droid to record the attached sample with P¹ during the game 'solitaire express' from playstore. I have had others verify this happens on their device too in various games, so it's not a faulty unit, some dsp problem. Note in the problem isn't audible until about 12 seconds then every ten seconds, the sound at the beg
  23. @netman if you can build the kernel into a new boot.img, I'll test it. (Include magisk, start from the file I put in my magisk thread).
