Therein lies the issue.....some people have issues some of the time. Crackling, dropping, but reproducing it is definitely going to be a trick. I feel like it's been mentioned in half a dozen threads. Maybe someone can post something more specific and helpful here. I'm still waiting thanks to the bad-cold-with-a-scary-reputation.

Currently playing the waiting game. :'( Stupid virus...... Hoping the keyboard will work well for SNES controller emulation when the waiting game is finished.

My mother used to say "It'll turn up" in just these situations. Probably not the best business strategy however LOL

No disagreement there. I just think that's so sci-fi creepy. We are the borg.....welcome to the matrix....

Disable the fingerprint reader. Problem solved. :P

Just making translingual dad jokes. Not picking on you. :)

Well clearly they're not French. :P

Except that all the CDMA providers seem determined to kill the CDMA network in favor of unhelpful data bands. 😞

Yes, this is a very cool idea! Perhaps the Pro2 will have an e-ink keyboard with an actual b/w pixel display behind it so that key mapping can be literally anything you desire and the labels will match. 😄

crApple finally did something smart. :)

I tend to think that things like batteries could be changed without having to recertify the device as it has nothing whatever to do with the radios, as stated. We could always take the approach I used on my old VHS movie camera. I removed the sealed lead battery from its battery pack and turned it into an adapter that went via speaker wire to a lawnmower battery I wore in a backpack while filming. I ran it for days and never EVER ran out of juice while filming. :)

It still baffles me that THE alternative Android build still has such terrible support of the SIM info menu; it knows it exists, and can show you the settings, but can't authenticate to change them. This is NOT a complaint about @tdm either; I see it as a platform shortcoming that the entire LOS community needs to gather and address. It is DEFINITELY going to come to a head next year as networks start decommissioning their legacy voice bands in favor of new data protocols. For the record, I think swapping voice bands to data is STUPID, but it's what they've decided to do, and they don't ask us

Now he can finally afford to catch up with his relations in Belize! :P

Ebay VS buying direct: Is this for real?

Did you seriously GLUE a keyboard to an iThing? That is some hard-core keyboard commitment! That's not to say that I wouldn't do it too if I didn't have other good options like the Droid 4. :P -
Port the number to MightyCall. It's 19.99 a month for 1000 minutes, lots of enterprise-grade features, and no more sGroogle! I've been using it for a little over a month now, and it is SUPER SLICK. It is designed for business.

OH MAN are we going to owe you some BEER! You are the greatest!

OK, there's a lot of confusion here. I believe what @Polaris was describing is the slider in settings on LOS that turns on the root binaries in general. I believe it's under developer options. It's been a long time since I turned it on. If it's off, nothing can even request root. If it's on, any app that needs root still has to request it, a la Windows with its UAC popup, and I believe it's a simple allow or deny with a checkbox to remember your answer, unchecked by default. @VaZso is right to be worried about universal root access, but this is never the case in Android; they thought through t

That is so awesome! This is truly a community build! @tdm is clearly the fearless pioneer, but you and @Sean McCreary and probably other people I haven't noticed have made meaningful contributions as well. Bravo!

Brave mobile. 😉 In all seriousness though, thank you for all your hard work. It appears that very soon LOS will be much better than stock.

It takes a big man to admit when you were wrong. Thank you for doing so. I'm sure the people involved will forgive you. It's rather harder when the poster wasn't intoxicated and isn't sorry, which has also happened.

The part I put in bold type is the most interesting part of this discussion to date. It indicates that Verizon now knows what it is, which would indicate that someone may in fact be working behind the scenes to get the clack accepted by Verizon.
