  2. I just received mine today and after using LOS on my Droid 4 for many years, I was shocked, dismayed, and disgusted to find that Google was in every corner of my new device! I came here to find the solution, and haven't been disappointed. LOS on P1 coming soon to a desk near me. :)

  3. I will also have replacement screens in my shop including a replacement service soon. Also, if you use a case which covers the screen (I can take some pictures of it), then the screen is perfectly safe. Cracked mine a few times before I got the case, after that, it never happened again.

  4. @Waxberry @Erik I eventually managed to find time to report firmware issues I'm having as a user and a developer. Hopefully you guys at FxTec can find the resources to tackle some of them.

  5. It was blacklisted by Spamhaus. Sendgrid uses a different IP for pretty much every email, and occasionally they use a blocked one.

  6. I've checked the email logs from Sendgrid (our web email service provider), it says your server blocked the message due to Sendgrid's IPs being blacklisted. We use Sendgrid precisely to ensure everyone receives our emails, but that doesn't always happen. I am glad to hear you got your Pro1!

  7. I'm curious, I notice that internet (switching between wifi/4g) works perfect, also wifi has more connectivity power (it wasn't the case 1 month early). Could it be a link with LOS updates ? Anyway, I'm more and more pleased with this keyboarded piece of hardware 😄

  8. What will be the source of the displays you will sell? Will it be the same as F(x)tec source (directly from BOA if I write their name correctly) or another company or reseller? Will you sell these displays separately? If so, will you have a chance for testing these displays? What I have ordered at Aliexpress works perfectly but it has missing pixels at one of the corners (it bites out of the display at one of the corners a similar curve what the corners look like but in a mirrored shape). Could you write me an approximate selling price of it (if you have an idea of now)? D

  9. It may happen their IP address (or some of their IP addresses) was appeared in a blacklist for some reason or there is a specific blocking set at recipient side (blocking a range of IP addresses or blocking by part of reverse DNS name), etc. Even Gmail may not always deliver all of these e-mails despite of correct settings (however, that case it may not appear in these logs). So it may happen an e-mail is not delivered even if one has a system correctly set up. It may also be handled as SPAM by recipient system.

  10. Write a message to the team. In my case I gave wrong information with the payment so they could not assign it to the order. Support is fast and helpful.

  11. Sometimes these service providers have to fight against blacklisting and their IPs may appear in these lists time to time as they are service providers, so several emails are sent through them by their customers and it may cause problems even if the customer sends proper e-mails but the recipient does not know why... So unfortunately it is not a simple thing.

  12. System actualisation should be actualisation of Android itself, not the process of FX - auto sync. Sorry, My bad. But the point you wrote is correct. The FX Service auto sync has turned on the communication, then Android system update comes up on the scene and the cpu usage grows rapidly, what ends up by spurious keypresses. And I am talking about Android update (this is better to call it, than a system actualisation) because in the settings there is set : "check for updates: only once" I was quite curious, why there is still apearing the notification "checking android updates" several ti

  16. It's great actually with some annoying bugs most of which can thankfully be worked around using various apps. I'll just name Fx Service for instance, my own creation 😉 The one thing I have not find a workaround for is the too loud in-call handset speaker volume.

  18. I have IZAT enabled and have agreed to the location consent. I've had the GPS fail to lock it different vehicles and when walking (holding the phone, with a clear sky), so it doesn't seem related to interference from the vehicle. If GPS is working well for most people, and only one other person is experiencing the issue, it seems like it's likely to be a hardware issue of some kind. Maybe the GPS receiver sometimes fails to power up properly?

  19. Update: After I threatened to contact the editors of the outlets Fxtec advertises with on their website, they transferred the money within one day. This could be a coincidence of course. It's been almost four months since my cancellation, but I'm glad to have gotten the money back at all.

  23. Just a heads up to everyone on here. I haven't been using my Pro1 but I'm on Verizon and faced many of the same issues you've all brought up in this thread. Recently I picked up a Surface Duo and was having the same issues (outbound text works, inbound doesn't, etc), and a Verizon tech had us chat in and request "CDMA-LESS" activated on our accounts. This took me 5 minutes and suddenly everything started working perfectly. I moved my SIM to my Pro1 today to see if it improved things and it appears I'm sending/receiving SMS/MMS and all that without any special modifications. Just an

  24. Sorry to hear about this - it does sound like you have a faulty device. We may need to have a look at your Pro1. Provide the latest to the help desk if you haven't already and we'll decide on what to do.

  27. Hey Ban, This is going to sound real douchey. I apologize but I don't make a habit of sharing my files. I have seen it too many times where people have used other peoples work for their own gain. Please understand that I have put a lot of hours into this project and have put serious thought and effort into its design and conception. That being said, I don't mind printing them out for people though. I understand that protective cases for a phone (especially one as rare as the Pro1 with a physical keyboard) are incredibly important for the people who have doled out a sizable amount of

  29. Now I have tried it. At minimum level, "Call volume" displays 20%. I can adjust it to go below it but I don't know if it affects call volume, however, it goes back to 20% automatically.

  30. As i just ran into trouble while applying the screen protector that came with the Pro1, i would like to discuss a safe way to do it. There where no instructions included with my protector. Since there are many different types of protective films, first of all it helps to know that the one supplied is of the variety consisting of 3 layers, 2 protective layers sandwiching a very thin rubbery actual protective film that wraps around the curved screen when all is done. Had i know that, i would have not tried to peel that tiny white sticker off the upper protective layer which i assumed to be

  31. Hey there F(x)tec community, Just a quick question to people who paid their order through bank transfer; how long did it take for it to go from “on hold” to “processing”? Full story: I ordered my pro1 3 weeks ago, since I don’t have a card payment option I decided to pay through bank transfer. I’m aware that this takes a few days to reach the company, and they told me it would take up to the end of that week to manually check it and add it as “processing”. I followed up on their message a week later since my order was still “on hold”, they told me they would do another run tha
