To take advantage of two SIMs and uSD card together, one option my be an extension cable which one can use a uSD card in a slot outside of the phone - there are such cables exists on Ebay (I have also ordered some and they are arrived since then), but there are questions like stability / speed / durability, etc. Another but destructive method could be to separate the microchip in a SIM card which may lead to a very slim SIM and it can be put together with a microSD card - it seems to be a very dangerous method, so I would like to try the first one, but an appropriate cable created specificall

Based on my experience with N900, I would use the keyboard also for reading web pages, especially forum messages. Currently, web pages are trying to give a phone experience which is sometimes usable, sometimes not - but this way one will not really need to navigate the page sideways. However, reading a text is much more convenient with the help of up/down arrows - don't need to touch the screen but the text will follow exactly the direction the user wants (as I also use it on my computer). I agree, a Pen / stylus would be a very nice addition - but only, I mean only if it will not affect the ability of using two SIMs AND microSD cards simultaneously. For the above functionality, I would also eliminate one of the speakers if necessary - the lack of this possibility really hurts me.

I think Pro1 should arrive before very early in October or second-third week, so practically mid-October. Yes and that is the reason why it is not as huge. My current device has 5.7" display and also has 18:9 aspect ratio, but lower body-screen ratio. My current phone's dimension is 153.8 x 72.3 x 8.3 mm compared to Pro1 of 154 x 73.6 x 13.98 mm - so it is slightly wider, but not a big difference.

Yes, it is currently the final layout. There is another layout which is not shifted, that is the German QWERTZ one for European users - I chose that one because I didn't like the shifted QWERTY keyboard and I would like to also use national characters. So I have found the German QWERTZ keyboard is currently the best option for me. Other layouts maybe come up or maybe not. If there is high demand for another one, they may consider of manufacturing it, but I would not wait for other keyboards to be available because I want F(x)tec as startup to live, so it is better for them to choose from

I understand the idea behind it, but independently of rooting - there are also risks in normal user applications which may have malicious codes included. ..but they chase rooted phones and prevent running on them. Isn't it a false sense of security?

I use accent letters frequently as in my language almost every words has one or even more accent letters. The Android original solution is bad as pressing a character & holding it takes time and slows down everything. Sometimes I use Hacker's Keyboard which has working layout but consumes 90% of the whole screen in landscape mode. I think I would not use the combined method on touch screen for accent letters as it seems to be also a very slow option. I have tried to take a new pre-order yesterday because of the discussion yesterday as I am thinking of buying another phone just in case my first one has problems and even for testing other systems while using my first Pro1 for daily tasks. You are right. I have started reading the Maemo forum thread about Pro1 and it is currently much better to read it and much more messages are there - don't have to wait for moderation. It would be good to find a solution here or at least temporarily give some active users the rights for accepting messages which are waiting for moderation.
