  1. I did some trials with various materials and thickness. If you just want to cover the screws any black tape will do. If you want to get ride of the rattling while closed you probably need 2mm squishy foam on every corner of the screen. Nothing else would do for me. I tried 1mm hard rubber in seven emplacements, including the four corners and the two screws in the middle and that does not help at all with the rattling. I've settled with 2mm rubber foam on every corner and 1mm hard rubber for those two screws in the middle.
  2. Don't expect it before Christmas.
  3. Fx Service relies on hall sensor to detect closing of the case and proximity sensor only for opening of the case. It's therefore more reliable than WaveUp to detect case closure. All you need to do is install a thin magnet opposite the hall sensor in your case. Then Fx Service does also a bunch of other things specific to Pro1.
  4. Ho, that's what it was, I probably put both shortcuts so that it would work the same as far as user is concerned on all layouts. The original intent was indeed to have it work as Ctrl+Fn+O as you can do it with two thumbs.
  5. Just published release v0.9.4. It adds support for screen rotation override. Basically it implements its own screen rotation logic from accelerometer and magnetometer. It comes with its own Quick Settings tile too. Just disable system auto-rotate and use the one provided by Fx Service instead. It's an attempt at fixing our issue where screen rotation get stuck until you launch the camera app. Time will tell if it works, your feedback is most welcome.
  6. 5mm hole punch does the job just fine then you can try any material you want.
  7. 2mm neoprene. I'll try with those 3 for a while they should flatten over time, they are really squishy. Just setting up those three is fixing any rattling when closed.
  8. Maybe it's Ctrl+Alt+O on your layout. I'm using Fx Qwerty with swapped Fn and Alt key for easier Alt+Tab access so I get confused sometimes 😁
  9. Leave it on, here again Fx Service provides a quick settings tile to toggle it.
  10. It's indeed pretty useless cause the light sensor lacks precision in low light conditions. I used to use it only to disable screen filter until I just gave up on it. It is easier to just turn the screen filter on and off yourself. There is a quick settings tile to do that or Ctrl+Fn+O. Long press the quick settings tile will take you to Fx Service app where you can easily adjust the brightness or with Fx Qwerty Alt + Up or Down.
  11. Uninstall the older version. Certificate was change.
  12. If someone is interested to work on and test an Fx Qwertz version just let me know.
  13. Vibration feedback upon key press is now available in the latest version, go fetch it you know where. It's fairly basic and weird at first but I quite like it. It would be nice to be able to customise the feedback for every single key or even to use system settings for audio and vibration feedback but that should do for now.
  14. Those are built-in Fx Qwerty too, except with the Fx key.
  15. Interesting, I ought to try that.
  16. I don't know about finqwerty or stock cause I have not used them in a while but things like that is not needed when using Fx Qwerty. If the application is not interpreting Esc it will be sent Back. Therefore you can just do Esc and it will act as Back if need be.
  17. @dt.white Sorry you are having so much problem with your hardware. You are not the only one unfortunately. Hope you get this sorted soon though to be honest considering FxTec current work load I doubt it.
  18. Actually I just ordered similar hole punchers tools. Then just have to find the proper material. Delivery in September, I guess not 🙂
  19. Support asked me to send my phone over for repair yesterday. So I did just that today providing the following explanations:
  20. Wait, I know, I know, that's an easy one: Symbian
  21. I recently swapped the screen assembly of two broken Pro1s to get one working. To access the screws at the back of the display you need to remove those stickers covering them. Now I was wondering if replacing those stickers with slightly thicker rubber pads would help with rattling when the phone is closed. Then I found those guys that could produce something usable for that application: https://www.rhnuttall.co.uk/pads/rubber-pads/ Looks like they could produce 0.8mm thick neoprene rubber pads for this application. Just have to give them the proper diameter. Some one men
