I additionally tried with "launch" from F-Droid and Niagara Launcher from Play Store - and get asked every reboot.

I restored from backup - and as far as I can tell (not yet daily driving my Pro1-X) it only asks after a reboot.

I would also double check the selected layout for the physical keyboard.

SafetyNet check is fine for me - I did not adjust the fingerprint, but I'm using https://github.com/kdrag0n/safetynet-fix and Zygisk

Can't you simply use the livedvd? - I assume the image can be put on a USB drive e.g. using Etcher. https://github.com/bkerler/edl

My guess is that you need to format userdata e.g. using: fastboot format userdata

I did a restore using google backups and have the same issue.

What worked for me was do "freeze" the Quickstep launcher using Titanium Backup. What should work without root: adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.android.launcher3 https://www.xda-developers.com/disable-system-app-bloatware-android/ But this breaks some homescreen gestures e.g. swipe up for app overview ...

I can select a different layout - it results in wrong letters as expected. ctrl+space switches between "Deutsch" and "Englisch USA" if I enable both and the "Ü" key right of "P" types "[" and "{" -. The "+" key types "]" and "}"

Yes, I can write ü, "+", "*", "~", ö,ä and e.g. "?"

I assume that the missing OTG support is part of the issue.

According to the "USB OTG Checker" App the only thing missing is adding "android.hardware.usb.host.xml" in /system/etc/permissions.

I noticed another small difference the Pro1x is ~10g lighter and way less slippery than the Pro1.
