So in mid June they say they will extend it for a week, and you buy mid July... The order page was changed at the latest June 19. as a comment that day quoted what it said. But sure it was not clear at what exact day the extended offer ended.

Interesting. If you want to take this to the ultimate, you could even consider the ORDER they are pressed. That is there is nothing that says E.g. Alt+Sh should do the same as Sh+Alt This would give us a shitload of keymaps.... An my suggestion (if it is doable) would be that releasing a modifier-key-combo without pressing a key after would display an overlaid keymap for what each non-modifier would give. And if sticky, the same after the last modifier is held down for a while without release.... Just Ideas 🙂

Some are reporting aptX working, even in HD variant. see this. But several reports issues, so it works to some extent, but not perfect.

The Pro1 got two Hall-probes, one for detecting Slider open&close and one that seems designed for detecting a Flip-case! See this. Now THAT was a nice surprise! It does not seem to be part of the BOE screen assembly looking at their imges, so a nice Easter egg from F(x)tec! ...For those that want a short-cut, it is available as an activity also, that can be launched by some launchers directly, or by tools creating a short-cut for 'any' launcher.

The more functionality they would add, the longer we would have to wait. But sure I too hope that more functionality is coming in later OTA updates.

There is a heavy pull on the battery in idle with absolutely nothing installed. Connected to WiFi doing nothing, over 2% per hour!!! ADD: It is the WiFi that seems to be the culprit, If I put it in Aeroplane mode, it is much much better. Fallen from 74% to 65% in 19h (or 0.42%/h to 0.53%/h - could in best case be from 73.50 to 65.49, or worst case from 74.49 to 64.50) I then in Aeroplane turned WiFi ON, and it has fallen from 65% to 10% in just 24h (or 2.25%/h to 2.33%/h - could in best case be from 64.50 to 10.49, or worst case from 65.49 to 9.50)

On the first, some have reported this too. It has been suspected to be related to what networks band is in use, and perhaps switch between these bands, though this is not confirmed. One reported the issues when parsing a partiular place by train (if I recall correctly) The second is new. 😥

That is the four glyphs long one no three after the GPS (after the battery and charger). It gives NO warning, but calls directly on click!!! "Hall_a" is in keyboard half close to camera button, "Hall_b" is in the display half, slightly above the volume rocker (ssn in portrait). I guess it is intended to detect a Flip-case closed!

Indeed, that have been changed to home. But tried Alt+Arrows with a lot of layouts including the four us intl, and can NOT get that to doing Back? I tag @Anssi Hannula here, to hear if this has accidentally been removed or moved to somewhere I can not guess,...

Let us not spin too much into specific other launchers. That we already have in other threads, e.g. this. This thread was intended to be on the build in and the pros and cons of it over others. Maybe we should just merge them completely?

As @Hook said you most certainly can use many launchers out there. The most lousy ones does not support landscape at all. For many it is in a menu settings (some rather deep in!!!) to select it not to be portrait only. Most of the ones that DO support landscape, has their mind back when screens were in a 4:3 aspect ratio, so they just stretch&squeeze the grid. Still having full functionality, but often looking a bit odd in landscape, and many widgets does not handle it well to be twice as wide and half as high as they were originally designed for... Nope, I got used to the mess, and added a bunch of sticky shortcuts in the taskbar, You can add a shortcut to the folder "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs" and drag it close to the degenerated windows icon to the left, and here the small icon gives something close to a real start menu, and then remove all tiles from the fake start menu. (right click taskbar, toolbars, "New Toolbar", paste in the path. Yes, unfortunately there are a lot of protocols, and not all fall back in a smart way. AFAIK the new PD does not fall back to other fast charge protocols. It could be that it is as stupid as licence issues - but that is just guessing... It would be nice if the protocols were 'nested' so the device and charger just had to agree on the highest both supports.

When I see the word Microsoft in combination with launcher, my immediate thought is "OH NO! Hideous tiles on Android too?!?!" but of course there are those that actually like that tile-mess, so to each their own. nice that we have variety.
