The key for me, as is implicated in @EskeRahn's tape suggestion, is hooking the back edge,lifting slightly and only then pushing with your thumb while continuing to lift the back. I can easily do this on a surface one handed. I would never try one handed in mid-air, but is easy in midair if I use the other hand as the surface. And, for the slickness, I put a matte black just slightly textured skin on the back, Solves the slickness problem perfectly.

I did the "Enthusiast" Perk. Lol. I think it just keeps me in the loop for their progress emails, but happy to contribute to the cause. I do hope this means that official versions of the OSs will be on their way to us as well. Raises the question of what is the point of ordering a Pro 1 from the store anymore. Confusing.

I have never had a problem with "autorotate"-- maybe because I have it turned off. Everything works as it should. Apps that can do landscape do it with the keyboard out. Apps that can't don't and get used in portrait or split screen. Apps that are adaptable can be used in either orientation. I especially appreciate having Kindle Reader in portrait with the keyboard out as a grip.

My point was not to have you reconsider your opinion. I had no doubt you had good reasons for your opinion. My point was to simply let someone coming here know there are other opinions. 🙂

I'm not sure how universal this is. My build quality so far is fantastic. Yeah, this is kind of duh. 😉 Again, not here Again, not here on Lineage OS. I like they keyboard except for how we get / and ?. but I've adapted easily. Most of the other points aren't that relevant for me (e.g.,I don't use a phone for video much) and therefore can't attest one way or another. Technically, I did get mine in 3 months. If you count from when it was paid, Aug 1st, I was notified of stock fulfillment Nov 4th. Of course, then US Customs blocked it and I didn't get it until December 10th or so. On the other hand, if you count from when they actually started filling orders, which wasn't until October 2019, it was very fast. Then COVID hit. The lockdown ending isn't the only variable. As far as I know, factories in China are still not back up to full production, nor fully manned. I haven't seen a current analysis, so I'd be happy to find out I'm wrong.

It's hard to predict, but in the F(x) Tec store they say 10-12 weeks, so, yes, 2-3 months is the fastest you might receive the phone right now. That could change if they reach the point where they build up stock, but until they do and change the information in their store, I wouldn't count on it. The Pro 1 is worth waiting for, but if you can't wait, you can't wait. When My phone died waiting for the Pro 1, I went out and picked up a cheap Moto phone to get me through.

This is a user forum. Although @Erik looks in here from time to time, this forum is not an effective way to communicate with F(x) Tec. A week is not a long time not to hear from support. They are a very small operation. Hold off a while longer-- sending a new email now may just reset your place in the help queue.

Hopefully someone else will come along who knows more about that option. Since an SD card for me is primarily for media storage, I usually want it removable and have always gone with that option. One thing I am still confused about-- you said you "moved" your pictures. From where? You couldn't have had 500 GB of pictures on your Pro 1. What else is contributing to the 500GB? The pictures might be able to be moved back. though again, not sure what that looks like if everything is being treated as one big internal SD drive. I suspect the only way to redo it is to reformat the card

Hmmm, not sure. Hopefully, the 1TB thing is Samsung sending you the wrong card. Otherwise it might be corrupt. Did the phone offer to format the card when you first put it in? If so, did it offer you two flavors-- as removeable storage or as additional internal memory (don't remember the term)? Which did you choose; I always make mine removable and don't know a lot about the other option. When you plug in the phone to the PC, do you switch the USB function on the phone from "charging" to "File Transfer?" You do that by tapping on the USB notification on the notification shade

My favorite use-case here (and it works perfectly without any special settings) is I usually turn my Pro1 to portrait with the keyboard out to read Kindle books. The keyboard acts as a very comfortable handle to hold the device and the kindle app spins about to portrait so I get more text on the screen. A great way to read and not get tired of holding the Pro1 so much.

I don't have it. It took me a while to find a way to check because I use a black wall paper and most of my apps are black or dark themed, but I finally found an app that gave me a bright white background. 😂

Yes, you sideload from recovery. But then you use the advanced menu in Lineage Recovery to Reboot to recovery. That switches to and makes active the slot where the update was installed. The clearest instructions are @tdms. They were written for the test versions, but they work fine for the official nightlys. http://files.nwwn.com/android/pro1/lineage.html

Correct. Just make sure you reboot to recovery after sideloading the new nightly so that you switch the slot it was actually installed to.

The updater works but is very slow. I can vouch on the slow part. I bailed on my only attempt to do it because it was taking so long even though it was a background process and I could still use it. I prefer the speed and (for me) simplicity of downloading the nightly and doing an adb sideload from my computer.

They have posted the fastboot factory restore files for 20200825 in the factory restore thread. The boot.img file is in the zip.

I'm confused. I have write access to my SD card, I must not be understanding correctly. If I create a file in any program (for me mostly textmaker and QuickEdit) I can easily navigate to the sd card and save.
