Installed it right away, thanks! It seems that security patch level is also updated to 5th October 2019. EDIT: I can confirm that keyboard issue is indeed fixed. I can now play Sonic and Mario or whatever like a charm. Super awesome! It looks like that all keyboard driver issues are fixed now. I can now press "7", "U", "J", "N", ".", "UP" and "Enter" keys (QWERTZ) right after I wake up the screen. I don't need to press some other key first.

I am not sure if I got everything right but I thought we have two options (source) Make the keyboard act like the PC version, or Make the keyboard act like the print So we should make QWERTZ units act like the print in the first place so that we can look at the print to press the right key. Then, if we want customize it, we can remap it to Scandic with as little as possible changes. Gigadoc2: "Personally, I am strongly in favor of the second option, to make the keyboard act like the print suggests. Not only because I sometimes need to look at the print to press the r

@JooJooBee666 Have changed any settings from Settings>Accessibility>Vibration>Touch vibration? If Touch vibration is off then vibration is disabled from fingerprint also.

Here is a detailed informaation which tells what does the "Emulated CPU Clock Speed" do. - long version: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-help-understanding-the-new-cpu-clock-settings?pid=358116#pid358116 - short version: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-help-understanding-the-new-cpu-clock-settings?pid=358118#pid358118 If you select lower than 100% the emulation may work better but FPS is lower like you said.

I would like to help. In my opinion, we should make QWERTZ keyboard act like the print. Then we should be able to remap QWERTZ for Scandic etc. with different layout option. QWERTZ is really close to Scandic so there is very little changes (basicly Y<->Z, Ü->Å in Finnish). Where I can find the instructions? Finnish mapping is working only for QWERTY units. If you select Finnish on QWERTZ then the keys doesn't match at all with the prints. So we would still need FinQWERTY or similar for QWERTZ units.

I think that option 2 would be better. Then user could use application like WaveUp (pocket mode) to wake up the screen and then just place finger to the sensor. If user has to wait 2 seconds to unlock phone via fingerprint sensor it might be too slow. Pressing power button and then placing finger to the reader would be faster I think. Edit: One idea would be to allow greater number of wrong fingerprint attemps and disable vibration on false read. Then false reads would not disturb the user but user would still be able to use the sensor when screen is off.

Thanks for the clarification. At first I didn't understand correctly. I thought that Pro1 couldn't be remapped at all after driver update (like BlackBerry phones after Oreo update). So, we just need to make new files after driver update for custom layouts. I tried native Finnish remapping but it is done for QWERTY only so it is not usable for QWERTZ units.

If that is the case, Lineage OS is no go for me as a Scandic. It is not usable to access Scandic letters by long pressing some key during writing. I would rather take little bit buggy driver instead. I hope that F(x)tec is going to have different solution. Or then I need to buy Scandic version If it is available some day. Edit: At first I didn't understand correctly. See my reply below.

app Custom Keyboard Layouts for F(x)tec Pro1
FlyingAntero replied to Slion's topic in Pro1 - Thoughts & questions
It looks like that the feature is not available on Pro1. But I can use Keyboard/Button Mapper to make those shortcuts if I want. Here are the pics that Chen showed on Twitter. https://twitter.com/chenliangchen/status/1141016306801676290 -
app Custom Keyboard Layouts for F(x)tec Pro1
FlyingAntero replied to Slion's topic in Pro1 - Thoughts & questions
@Slion I made a "FX QWERTZ FIN" layout for my own use but it can be useful for other Nordic users also. Is it possible that you could add it to your app? I tried to keep characters where they are printed but I swapped couple keys. http://www.keyboard-layout-editor.com/#/gists/4c9b2642a404d8eaecb8dd602acff2b4 I didn't want to add alt shortcuts to arrows keys since I want to use them during writing: Alt + Trackball-Left: Move cursor to beginning of line Alt + Trackball-Right: Move cursor to end of line Alt + Trackball-Up: Move cursor to top of page Alt -
Spontaneous reboots - discssion on possible causes
FlyingAntero replied to VaZso's topic in Pro1 - Thoughts & questions
I googled a bit and I think that I might have found something to resolve this issue. Some Sony Xperia devices (XZ1 Compact and XZ Premium) with same chipset (SD835, MSM8998) have also suffered from random reboots. There were very similar symptoms. "I'll add that it's still ongoing and I've noticed it happens in the same physical place with some consistency. I take a train for my daily commute and it usually happens in the area between two particular stations. Perhaps relevant is that this area has always had a bad radio signal." "I was able to reproduce it consistently during -
Tactus Technology actually showed this kind of implementation few years ago. There were "bubbles" on the touch screen surface. I don't know what happened to that technology since I haven't seen that later. Imagine that technology with Galaxy Fold. However, I would still pick up Pro1 anytime because of slider.

Spontaneous reboots - discssion on possible causes
FlyingAntero replied to VaZso's topic in Pro1 - Thoughts & questions
I forced my phone to use only WCDMA and traveled that 70km but I was not able to produce random reboot. When I was driving back I selected GSM/WCDMA preferred but no reboot. I checked that my phone was connected to both B1 and B8 bands during the trip. This was a trip that I had not drove before so I don't know if there would be reboot with stock settings anyway. I started to think about a new scenario that maybe WiFi 2.4G issue is related to assumed network issue. I have 2.4G WiFi at home but I haven't faced reboots at home. Maybe there is a really specific usage scenario where both W -
Protective Case Suggestions and Ideas
FlyingAntero replied to Waxberry's topic in General Discussion
Can you the trigger from the sensor when The case is opened? Or isn't it working when screen is off? -
Here are my results for comparison: CPU: GPU: These results are quite normal so the issue is not thermal throttling. I think that it has to be software thing. Reference (Honor 20 Pro and Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro)

CPU Throttling Test and GFXBench (use Manhattan Battery Test for long term test) are good apps for thermal test. I will post my results shortly.

hardware issue The top part of the touch digitizer is not responding anymore
FlyingAntero replied to Druid's topic in Support
@alexmarzulli Your screen might be broken but you can try to fix it with Piezo igniter (you can dissamply an igniter from a lighter). I have successfully fixed couple LCD screens with this method. I don't know if it works with AMOLED screens but I think that you don't have anything to lose.- 11 replies

Here is a guide how you can implement automatic virtual keyboard switch feature without root based on physical keyboard state (open or closed). Required apps: Keyboard/Button Mapper Keyboard Switch Assistant Nova Launcher (you can still use stock launcher as a default, we are just going to use actions feature) Virtual keyboard (EXTERNAL KEYBOARD HELPER for example) 1. Enable virtual keyboard from settings Open Settings>System>Language & input>Virtual keyboard Click "Mange keyboard" Select 2 keyboards 2. Select virtual keyboard

The stock option of Keyboard/Button Mapper requires root but you can use Keyboard Switch Assistant or Keyboard Switcher from Play Store without root. See more from here

Samsung phones have an option to scale down screen resolution. Have you enabled that option (like 720p instead of 1080p)?

I haven't noticed any performance issues with my Pro1 in daily life. Also, when I ran some benchmarks Pro1 was performing like it should. For reference OnePlus 5T (Snapdragon 835) got these results according to PhonesData GeekBench 5 Single Core 383 GeekBench 5 Multi-Core 1655 Antutu 8 score 263919

I think that you don't need to. You can record a trigger with Keyboard/Button Mapper when you open keyboard. Then select an action to change virtual keyboard with Keyboard Switch Assistant. Then change back to Gboard or similar when you close leyboard. So instead of keyboard shotcut use a sliding action as trigger.
-
I believe that this step can be automatised via Keyboard/Button Mapper. Just record a trigger when open or close the keyboard and use Keyboard Switch Assistant to change virtual keyboard.
