  1. That was not the case on my unit. Still the same green tint on low brightness with new update. If F(x)tec changed something they would most probably mention it on changelogs.
  2. Same thing happens with Chrome. Only difference is that in Chrome the incognito notification will close incognito tabs and remove the notification. In Fulguris the notification opens incognito tabs so the notification never goes off. However, I don't know why the notification doesn't go away when you remove browser in recent apps. Probably it is related to Android's memory management. In general you should not "kill" apps by swipping them from recent apps menu. Closing Apps to Save Your Battery Only Makes Things Worse
  3. I don't see any improvements on my unit. Here is The Dragon picture to check. https://www.deviantart.com/fellfallow/art/CLOSED-Inky-Beast-731904319
  4. I don't know how it actually goes but at least pre-order page was no longer valid in September 2019 (in August 2019 it was still working). https://web.archive.org/web/20190913045840/https://www.fxtec.com/product/fxtec-pro1-pre-order/
  5. I don't have time to read all pages right now but I noticed that second rear camera (5MP, fixed focus, f/2.0) was not mentioned on specs. I can review more later. Excellent job!
  6. Here is my typical battery usage on Pro1. The graph is in Finnish but horizontal axis (x) is Screen On Time (SOT) in minutes and vertical axis (y) is battery percentage left before charging. Green mark means 1-day usage and red mark means 2-day usage. This is on stock firmware without Battery Saver or other tweaks enabled (bluetooth and wifi on). Initially I made the graph for an review back on February.
  7. Greenify is a reliable app as I am aware. It is nothing like Clean Master or other malicious cleaning/boosting apps. Clean Master part of ad scam? This is why you should not use anti-virus or phone cleaning apps on Android But if you are looking for open source you could check SuperFreezZ. SuperFreezZ is an open source alternative to Greenify that kills apps running in the background
  8. Lineage OS has an advanced battery saver menu where you are able to select different performance profiles. LineageOS Adding New Advanced Battery Saver Menu with Performance Profiles For stock firmware I would advise to use Greenify. Set Up Greenify Without Root & Save Battery Life on Any Android
  9. You can make folders only to home screen with stock launcher. If you want to make folders to app drawer you need to install custom launcher that support that feature. Stock launcher only allows to reallocate app drawer.
  10. Yes, Greenify is an excellent app but there are dozens of "Task Killers" and "RAM Boosters" that users should not install. Closing Apps to Save Your Battery Only Makes Things WorseWorse Why RAM Boosters and Task Killers Are Bad for Your Android
  11. Great thing about stock Android is that system does not kill background apps. I just ran "Don'tKillMyApp" benchmark for 4 hours and got 100% score. DontKillMyApp is a benchmark to test how badly your phone handles background apps More informaation: https://dontkillmyapp.com/
  12. Personally I prefer PocoPhone F1 port but the viewfinder is upside down if you select Night Sight. However, the picture is right way in the gallery afterwards. There is also BSG port (with fixed viewfinder) but it does not provide as great picture quality in very dark situations (noise level is bad).
  13. Interestingly both Ctrl+Alt+O and Ctrl+Fn+O are working. I am using FinQwerty with "QWERTZ to Finnish" layout. Thanks for the tips. Those tiles are very handy.
  14. You can find the switch from Settings>System>Gestures>Jump to camera. It is on by default (I think). You can remap long press of the camera button to launch any camera app with Keyboard/Button Mapper. However, that will disable normal press of that button so you can't use it for taking pictures (focusing still works).
  15. We are talking about c-rate which is derived from Coulomb's Law. See more from here: https://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/what_is_the_c_rate So If you have 1000mAh battery and you are charging it 1A then it is 1C charging. For 2000mAh battery 2A would mean 1C.
  16. According to a few years old study, fast charging can degrade battery performance quickly if the charging current is higher than 1.0C. Characterizing Smartphone Power Management in the Wild Here is a very informative graph from the BatteryUniversity. So if you are charging your device over 1C, you might notice greater reduction in the capacity after 2-3 years. Most users are buying new device by then so it is not an issue to manufacturers. However, if you are planning to use Pro1 3-5 years or longer I would suggest to use a slow charger. I have collected a summary f
  17. I can't install the latest on update on Pro1. When I press the APK file nothing happens. However, I am able to to install older version just fine. Is it just me? Suggestion: It would be great if there would be an option to schedule only the screen filter. Mostly I use screen filter when I am going to sleep. Now I just manually toggle filter on at bedtime since the adaptive brightness is not working for me very well. (I don't know if I should disable stock adaptive brightness from Android settings when I am using Fx Service). Other than that Fx Service is very good app with flip cover.
  18. I would like to be a tester 🙂. If you are able to create QWERTZ version it would be very nice to see Scandic also. Basically it could be almost identical to QWERTZ with these fixes: Ü -> Å (replace) Y <-> Z (swap)
  19. Here are my tips and tricks for F(x)tec Pro1 Configuring the keyboard layout Right after the initial setup the phone will ask you to set the keyboard layout. QWERTY users should remain unselected and QWERTZ users should select German so that layout will match the physical keyboard prints. However, if you want to modify some keys with pre-designed layouts you can try Fx Qwerty (for QWERTY) and FinQwerty (both QWERTY and QWERTZ) Adjusting the screen size Screen size is not optimal with default settings for landscape use so you might want to adjust it. Go to Settings > Acce
  20. Finally I had time to re-flash everything. I followed the guide posted by Chen and everything went smoothly. However, the screen issue is still there after January update even after re-flash.
  21. Is this based on Ubuntu Touch GSI (Generic System Image) or is it made specially for Pro1? https://www.xda-developers.com/ubports-gsi-brings-ubuntu-touch-to-any-project-treble-supported-android-device/
  22. It is pretty common that OEMs deliver only security updates every now and then. However, it would have been nice If there was other fixes as well since the problems are identiefied (and even fixed by community) earlier. Even so, I am happy that there is a new security update available and SafetyNet is finally working again.

  24. Thanks! I think that those are default settings that other OEM manufactuers are also using. I don't that the issue is related to those settings. It might be something else like a aggressive battery saving feature?
  25. Download kernel manager app like below and check what governor and I/O scheduler is used at default. - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.simonedev.kernelm
