"Good news! We have now assigned the stock for your Pro1 order." :-D. It's happening guys! I'm shaky from excitement, so happy.15 points

There were a few files Google required and we have provided everything already. Expect to have update early next week...7 points

I just received my new "stock assigned" email this morning. It explicitly says it is headed from the factory to the fulfillment warehouse and then customs. I'm first batch US., so this is my second stock assigned email-- the first one resulted in US Customs sending it back to HK. I'm wondering if this is the first batch coming back with the right paperwork or if this is part of the second batch. Obviously, I'm excited in either case, but I'm hoping the latter because it means a lot of folks will be getting theirs soon.7 points

The whole discussion if they already shipped or not sounds to me like reading tea leaves. The fact is, we really don't know. 🙄 I still fully trust Fxtec and I am willing to wait for my Pro1 even longer.. essential is that we get our Pro1 at all. But.. a little more communication would go a long way. Team Fxtex, the PR-guy.. just someone, please... once a week.... just turn on the Selfie camera on your Pro1 and film yourself, talk for2-4 minutes about current delays and estimated arrivals .. or tell us if something wet wrong and things take longer as planned (even if you have7 points

Passing safetynet does NOT equal to we can use Google OTA directly. I am afraid you got the wrong information.6 points

I am pleased to announce test builds for LineageOS 16.0. Please note this thread is for test builds. These builds are not necessarily stable or suitable for daily use. You can find the build(s) and detailed installation instructions here: Lineage on FxTec Pro1 Test Builds Please report any issues here and I will do my best to fix them. Thanks!5 points

That's what I'm hoping. I may have received the email first because I already had stock assigned. It could be the second batchers' email is coming soon. I hope so.5 points

I might get a 3D printer soon. Then I could try to design and print a case by myself5 points

Great now my Pro1 is in a tunnel somewhere. Is there additional customs checks in this tunnel?4 points

Well my cosmo communicator turned up and I opened today. I'm looking forward to the pro1...4 points

I think it is no need of a selfie camera or any cameras... No need of a camera, no need of watch what was recorded, no need to record it again if something happens and no need to edit the video. ...but a few words written as update of facts by regular basis would be very welcome.4 points

Hello, Just want to give a quick heads-up regarding the upcoming hot fix for the first few bugs we discovered with the users who received their units. We have sent the test version of this OTA to some users and found a small display issue in setting after the test OTA, due to the cache updating after locking fingerprint. The issue has been solved and OTA will go live shortly and we target to release on November. The fixes are: - Certain 3G bands has been improved (mainly Band 5 and Band 8 WCDMA) and user no longer to tune network setting. Also improved performance under mob3 points

It works for me. Is anyone else having issues? files.nwwn.com should have address 144.91.102.195. I switched servers in the last few days but DNS should have been updated some time ago. EDIT: reproduced the issue, investigating. EDIT: the issue seems to be IPv6. EDIT: fixed, new IPv6 address should propagate within an hour.3 points

Same. Weird to see they didn't announce the phones being shipped until today, but okay guess I was wrong previously then. I'm guessing people would get them around the 18th of December then. Kneejerk reaction here: The small amount of people posting about getting stocked assigned, coupled with an issue with production makes me worried about how many people will get their phones in 2019. It seems like maybe a couple of hundred of people got stock assigned in total, compared to I'm guessing thousands of orders. So 90% is still waiting for that, and they'll most likely get phones shipped onl3 points

Thanks! Though sad news this is good to see. 😎 Let us hope this is a new approach they will use in the future if they should be so unlucky as to be hit by further obstacles&delays. I hope Erik will update his thread with this Info too.3 points

I was watching my inbox after netman announced he got an email for stock assignement. I did get an email from F(x)tec: That's not the stock assignment I was hoping for (I have an order number around #103xx, no coupon, and it's for the EU), but it's definitely the kind of email update I've been wanting F(x)tec to start sending whenever there's a delay. The second bullet point actually goes further than I expected, by telling us why there has been a delay.3 points

Great news! It should be the second larger one according to first section of this https://community.fxtec.com/topic/2461-pro1-pre-orders-updates/?do=findComment&comment=348833 points

We are getting even further off topic -sigh- but it is a very versatile tool, though it is far from perfect, and not all updates have been improvements (e.g. hiding "Reply" in landscape under Ellipsis, Send, Reply.... Wonder if they were eating mushrooms to come up with that idea? 🤪 - But you do got Ctrl+A and Ctrl+R with a real keyboard...)2 points

And I was about to write there is no way I would receive a device before 2020, I might be proven wrong. I'm yet to receive any email from them.2 points

There is no need to worry the end of the other tunnel joins the start of the first one.2 points

I think no but there may be a toller who is holding the light at the end of the tunnel... or there are... trolls everywhere. 😄2 points

I am really glad to see progress here. Very good job from the F(x)tec team. Keep it going, thanks!2 points

@damion I second that. Would be very interested in your "first impressions", as I was afraid that the Cosmo would be a little cumbersome for "normal phone" stuff, because you always need to open it with two hands - even for a quick peek at GMaps.2 points

Sounds like Montreal would be the best place to be. Assuming we get our phones, we can organize this ourselves without Fxtec. How does December 15th work for people, if we get our phones by then?2 points

Thank you @silversolver for your kind words! We certainly cannot go this far without the kindness from supporters like you. Thank you! We are also very very thankful for your support, patience and encouragement during the journey. Especially we are thankful for the trust and understandings community given us, in the time when things did not move as expected. Sometimes the easiest part of the process can cause issues, and unexpected accidents. But every time when it happens, we are grateful to have you on our back and encourage us to solve them. This means a lot to our team and this2 points

For those of you in the United States, (all three of us lol) this is a day we set aside nationally to focus on the things for which we are thankful. Traditionally, it is a day to give thanks to God for the blessings we have received personally and nationally, and that is how I celebrate it. However, this post is not specifically about the American holiday or how anyone observes it; rather, it is about a thought process spawned by the holiday. Since I'm thinking about being thankful, I'm thankful that @Waxberry and crew took the time, spent the treasure, and made the effort to make the Pro2 points

Any trouble? The link only contains this error message: "The service is not available. Please try again later."1 point

So now we know three things: 1. a 2nd shipment is en route to the HK warehouse; 2. it does not contain all pre-orders; 3. due to further production problems, F(x) don't yet know when they will be able fulfill all pre-orders: "...how quickly they can get the remaining pre-order devices assembled and ready..." I think its fair to understand from this that some pre-order customers at least (only F(x) knows how many, I for one will neither speculate nor ask) will not see their Pro1's until January earliest - coz if they haven't let China by now its gotta be unlikely they'l1 point

I've installed the update, but the phone still doesn't pass safety net checks. I'm assuming we're still waiting for google certification to come through?1 point

Nice!. I think it could be difficult to make a hard shell with a good grip, due to the slightly conic shape, and very very little space for it to grip on the top, without affecting the slider. The best fit I found (yet) is an elastic shell for "Huawei P20 Pro", but "Samsung Note7" is also quite close, (of course with the need for modified cut-outs). See links earlier. You might buy one or more of those (they are cheap from about £1-2) to measure and experiment with. One thing that ought to be changed for a better fit is to shape it handling that the base of the Pro1 is slightly cur1 point

Yes, yes and yes. We should split this into some generic questions to the pro1 thread, I will see if I can find a good place.1 point

Feel the same way, there are a few things that could have been better with keyboard, but not that much touch needed in the K9 I use, so would hardly bother using one they provided, unless it was extremely good..1 point

@WaxberryHow far away are You guys from getting all the paperwork in place for the phone to pass safetynet checks? At that point are You planning to move to use a different OTA provider, or will hang on to AdUps for the foreseeable future?1 point

An interesting question. But remember that under any F(x)tec modifications for the Pro1 are some code for supporting the hardware, and THAT might well be protected by some copyrights, so it might not be up to F(x)tec to disclose the source, no matter if they would like to do so or not....1 point

@EskeRahn Could the problem lie in the camera app not being able to change specific settings (because it was not yet programmed for this device)? That way it wouldn't be FxTecs fault but a function not yet implemented.1 point

I think the thing is that being such a small company, this isn't likely to change majorly until after they're successfully over this project. They've made changes sure, but it's not going to be until everyone's back in the same place and they have a couple hours to spare to really go over every aspect of the project (as communication isn't the only hurdle they've hit!). To anyone from Fxtec that looks at the forums, as a start please at some point spend a commute listening to the 99PI episode Wait Wait...Tell Me! -- it provides a high-level overview of waiting. It's mostly in relation to1 point
