IGG has nothing to do with warranties. They guarantee nothing, including whether the device/perk gets made or gets delivered. F(x)Tec has clearly stated each Pro1x will have the same 2 year warranty as the Pro1.

Pro1, Ghost touches and other digitizer and display issues
Hook replied to [email protected]'s topic in Support
In the video, I squeeze the top part in landscape, again the part of the screen that would be next to and just above the camera button. It is just that spot on the screen. No other does it. Yow, it just went crazy again on it's own, When I set it off it's over quickly. When it does it spontaneously, lasts longer. -

I made a video, not that I'm all that good at it. This is a converted version to be able to be emailed. I sent it to FxTec along with a link to a higher quality version. Specific pinch spot produces phantom touches -

I had been holding off because after a maddening couple of weeks it died down. But now that I can reliably produce it, I'll get some video and send to them. -

This has been happening to me occasionally, but not so often yet that I'm ready to ask for a replacement. I went through a week where I got it every other day, but then it seemed to go away. However I just discovered (and I didn't read back through this whole thread to see if it had been discovered previously) that I can make it happen predictably. If I pinch down on the screen just above the camera button (portrait) or just to the left of the camera button (landscape) it fires off the row of phantom touches. It's very reliable and predictable. It is only that spot, and only that side -
I can answer the AT&T question. Yes, it will operate fine on the AT&T network (I have used it on the Pro 1 with stock Android and Lineage).

Someone on discord brought up a bug with Lineage I didn't even notice, but I'm wondering if this might be the problem. Apparently if you touch the edge when edge protection for accidental touches is on, it will stop registering any touches. Easy to reproduce. As I say I don't run into it much, but I mostly use it with the keyboard out. https://discord.com/channels/604479731156385792/604551719724122152/771798771050348565 -
Yes, I think that is pretty much what he said.

Yeah, I was thinking of the editing scenario. But your point is well taken that I have never had the symbol selection panel pop up when going to the space bar. It's just the writer's wariness of destructive keys 😄 So, go ahead and leave it.
-
I think it's dangerous to have delete next to the space bar. 😉

No, it's simply an obstacle to using Lineage. The phone with unrooted stock Android will work fine with any bank app, guaranteed.
-
I think that was one of the take-aways of @FlyingAntero's post. Some will. Some may not. Not sure it can be predicted, or at least not guarateed. My bank app (Bank of America) works fine on Lineage with unlocked bootloader and rooted. It used to alert me with a warning about some aspect of that but worked anyway. Now it no longer even alerts me. But another bank app might refuse to work if it detects on of those situations. Lol. I did notice on fxTecs Indegogo page for the Pro1x that someone who is some muckamuck in UX for Bank of America has a Pro1, so maybe that's why my b

bootloader Locked bootloader with LineageOS hard or forbidden?
Hook replied to brunoais's topic in Pro1 - Thoughts & questions
I could be wrong, but in my experience, Lineage wouldn't fly for a company BYOD device no matter what state the bootloader is in. -
Freaking out - F(x)tec Pro delivery gone wrong (Order 42664)
Hook replied to JHutch9923's topic in Support
Lol. But I'm not really talking about the postal service. As far as I know, most FxTec deliveries in the US were by FedEx. If that works with FedEx, great, I suppose, but I'd be surprised. 😉 -

I don't know where we are talking about, but if the US, I'm not entirely sure this will fly. If the shipper determines that they delivered it to the correct address (as on the package) and that they were not required to collect a signature by the sender, that may be the end of it. Insurance, as far as I know, only covers what happens to it during transport, not once it is sitting on your front porch, including theft. Theft would only possibly matter if they were required to get a signature and they didn't. You'll need to get a record of the signature to make sure it wasn't faked by the carri -
Just pointing out that introducing these new OS alternatives does not directly affect work on Android as these are all done by three different teams (and none of them the small group of folks at F(x) Tec). IdeaLTE, a contractor, still does Android for the Pro1. They have apparently just received the official base for Android 10 and would assume work is now being focused on getting that ready. Android will probably always be a bit slow because they depend on Google including for patches and certification and they are pretty low on the priority list. Which is why Lineage can be improved more q

Since a lot of this will hinge on what the shipper or the new person in your old apartment did with it, can you go over and ask them if they got a package for you and what they did with it? F(x) Tec is likely to take a while to get back to you, honestly, because of the new campaign. It might be a week or two. Do you have any information on who shipped it or a tracking number. If so, you could query the shipper. Tough situation. Hope it gets resolved. But freaking out won't help, though I understand. It's a problem to try and solve. Not much else I can suggest... except make -
I thought they were referring to a perk with just a spare keyboard (the new one) and screen. Lol.

Never mind.... lol

The key for me, as is implicated in @EskeRahn's tape suggestion, is hooking the back edge, lifting slightly and only then pushing with your thumb while continuing to lift the back. I can easily do this on a surface one handed. I would never try one handed in mid-air, but is easy in midair if I use the other hand as the surface. And, for the slickness, I put a matte black just slightly textured skin on the back, Solves the slickness problem perfectly.

I did the "Enthusiast" Perk. Lol. I think it just keeps me in the loop for their progress emails, but happy to contribute to the cause. I do hope this means that official versions of the OSs will be on their way to us as well. Raises the question of what is the point of ordering a Pro 1 from the store anymore. Confusing.

Had the same or similar problems with Android Auto and LOS. You probably won't like my "solution," but I love it. 😉

I assume that is London time. It arrived at 9:50 EST which, given the US is not on DST yet should be correct,

Yes, this is a known issue. 🙂

The Pro1, almost a year later
Hook replied to Wasmachineman_NL's topic in Pro1 - Thoughts & questions
I have never had a problem with "autorotate"-- maybe because I have it turned off. Everything works as it should. Apps that can do landscape do it with the keyboard out. Apps that can't don't and get used in portrait or split screen. Apps that are adaptable can be used in either orientation. I especially appreciate having Kindle Reader in portrait with the keyboard out as a grip.
