C’mon F(x)tec, I need another eMail telling me to wait just a little bit longer.4 points

I decided to compare the three keyboards I've tried, which none are perfect for my use case. I noted features I use and whether they work with the hardware keyboard for the AOSP Keyboard, Google's Gboard, and Microsoft's Swiftkey. [Note, I am using Lineage, so there are two fixes that make this comparison less applicable to stock - stock hasn't assigned sym key as right-alt and hasn't set keyboard to thumb keyboard.] So I probably woulda just stuck with AOSP keyboard, other than that auto-capitalize that drives me crazy in discord. And this is because both stock and lineage have3 points

I think at first ask them about the available options then (after their reply) you may decide how to go further.2 points

You can connect the phone to a monitor and connect a USB mouse using a device like this. It works well using my Pro1. As of screen, maybe you need a new screen or if you are a bit luckier, maybe screen's cable has detached somehow. I suggest you to contact F(x)tec for assistance.2 points

On Lineage, I get sticky shift with the AOSP keyboard. Since I actually don't care about any of the other red Ns for the AOSP keyboard, it is my choice. The my main knock with Swift Key aside from the red Ns is that it really sucks at swyping for those few times I use an onscreen keyboard, which is becoming less and less. It's just so easy to flip out the hardware keyboard. Gboard is far and away the best at swyping with almost supernatural accuracy, but AOSP is good enough and gives me the symbol menu.2 points

Any idea when the "wake on double tap" will be back? It got taken out due to some bug afaik pretty early on. I really liked that on my PRIV x).2 points

As users will start receiving devices now, we want to give some update about the bugs and features we found / currently working. Shipping software version: QX1000_EEA_20191028191835 Known bugs: - Under a rare circumstance, touch of screen can be lost (touch function unresponsive) A reboot will fix. If that happens, hold power key to give the reboot menu, then open the slider and press tab key, and select restart, Press Enter. It will go back after booting. This happens on a very rare case, and team is working on a fix for the next version - We have heard from some users wit1 point

I am talking about really easy fixes, like the in-call audio volume, that are actually fixed in LineageOS already. You guys/gals from F(x)tec get bugfixes presented on a golden plate. And yet, nothing happens! The Pro1 could be made so much better with so little effort and just a tiny OTA! Sorry, I just called family and friends, and the crazy high in-call volume made my ears bleed ... "Hey, could you please call me back? I bought this cool phone for just 800€ ... and ... I can only use it for calls when people call me. Otherwise, the audio is too high. And yes, this is embarrassin1 point

Hi everyone, A small informal update for you. As you should be aware by now, my updates do not represent what PR might have to say, but I'll give you the latest and best to my knowledge. As per the last time you received a director's update, there's nothing significantly new - our team is still working really hard to meet our own deadlines to fulfil all pre-orders and launch before the festive season. While stock rotations between warehouses (factory > Hong Kong hub > US & UK/EU) took slightly longer than initially predicted, due to the customs and weekends off, the first b1 point

Whereas. I love that feature. It's how I get my em-dash 😉 Also, it doesn't fire accidentally on me.1 point

Good point, it should also work without adapter if you have a monitor that supports USB-C.1 point

I wish I had an answer. I'm a bit frustrated too, and would even be willing to PAY to get a few of the most annoying software bugs fixed. But it IS a small company with few people. And even if they wished to do so I doubt the various licensing would allow them to put things out open source without breaking various certifications and/or licensing. But would be awesome if they let people help them - starting with some of the things the Lineage guys already have tracked down and fixed....1 point

EDIT: The cause of the problem has been found: Original post: monitored couple game sessions with KFMark and noticed that Pro1 has indeed some issues with gaming performance. The phone cannot keep up steady FPS during game play because CPU freqs goes up and down all the time. To me it looks like issue with kernel settings rather than throttling. Here are few gameplays compared to the Redmi Note 4 which has much weaker CPU. Both have FullHD(+) screen so results can be compared. Light game: Subway Surfers F(x)tec Pro1: average 52FPS (limit 60FPS) Redmi Note 4: av1 point

Hi Guys, Just an update of the progress. After the front case breaking twice due to drops, I made it a bit beefier. I also Cut out a section so that the front case does not sit on the first row keys. Not sure if it is enough for people with bigger fingers or with long finger nails. I'd need to find someone with thicker fingers to try it out. I also made some more adjustments to the the back case for usability. I don't have super detailed pictures of the back case adjustments but I am fairly confident that I am close to finished product. Here are some shots. If yo1 point

Hey guys. Just wanted share the case I printed out for my wife. She wanted a functional opening case that would protect her phone and won't fly off when it opens. After many attempts I was able to get it to work. I'm probably going to modify it some more and tweak my print settings to make it a lot nicer and possible do some post print finishing.1 point

So I said other cool features. How bout wake on keypress? Now it works for every key. And backlight too. You can move the status bar time back to the right in settings. You can select which orientations are permitted during auto-rotate. If you think your phone works better in portrait upside down, disable 0degrees and enable 180. If you dont want it to accidentally upside-down landscape and confuse you when you try to open the keyboard, then disable 270. Also by default, it displays LTE to indicate 4G connections. Someone complained about this in stock, I assume th1 point

...AFAIK at least one of those cases has been posted earlier in this thread. Also, if they're anything like the 'universal' case I found, they'll be annoyingly larger than the Pro1.1 point

would you mind posting some pics from different angles, and with the flap closed? thanks1 point

While searching AliExpress for the 'double half latch' P20 Pro case @EskeRahn is using I came across some more unusual case designs... A half flap version with ornate designs on it (no thanks). A case that opens from the top, so those who prefer the case upside down and those who prefer it the right way up can be equally annoyed (and will also fall apart when you cut access holes in the bottom hinge). A case with the flap on the front half instead of the rear half (might help with it falling over the screen). A version of that magnetic case that someone else posted (might hav1 point

Another one bites the dust... So my Pro1 just died on me. Well, the OLED-screen died on me. I was just minding my business browsing the interweb when the screen died on me. For a moment I tought it was the screensaver. But, it won't turn back on. And I'm sure it's just the screen. Flashlight/LED is always configured as the first option in the pull down menu on my phones. I am able to switch the LED on and off. Also able to pick-up/answer a call with swipes. That took a few tries though. So, after four months of intensive use I hit a snag. And to be honest, I am quite curious as to ho0 points
