Well, but as they are combinations with a non-existing key, not much point as is, so they would need to be modified to something the keyboard can do. And I fear that globally fixed shortcuts could easily conflict with something some app expects to be free. Especially terminal emulators or the like. So at the least they should be something that could be turned off.

Yup. Even though the Pro1 is assembled with screws and the battery should thus be fairly easy to replace, it is still not anything the normal user just do by themselves in a few seconds like the old removable batteries. I'm not even sure if there exist any phones with end-user-replacable battery that also do fast charging. But if so fast-charge away, as a battery is not that expensive by it self.

It does indeed charge fast when needed. But I will discourage the use of fast charging on a daily basis, as it heats the battery, and heat during charging shortens the lifespan of the battery significantly. So I advice to use the fast charge when in need, and a simple power source not above 5W (5V not above 1A) for daily usage. e.g. the USB port of a PC, or an old charger you got from an old phone. When charged while we are asleep, there are zero reasons to let it charge quickly. I usually compare fast charging with junk food, nice, convenient and it does not really harm if you eat it occ

I think it is an LG feature. It is not in the stock android, so would require you to install an app doing more advanced screen-shots.

Ah, sorry THOSE shortcuts - did not even know they existed. Yeah a bit odd they are displayed. I think we better ask F(x)tec if they can hide the "Keyboard shortcuts helper", only causing confusion. Thanks. @Erik or @Waxberry would you grab that ball and pass it on please?

I think it is GREAT that they kept the Pro1 as close to stock as possible, and let the user choose, rather than infecting it with all kind of stuff we might or might not like. There are tonnes of mail-apps available, that works more or less good in landscape with a keyboard. I use K9

We know "if", as they said so. But not "when". I think it is @netman that already did a port by himself, and it only had minor issues, so I expect it wont be long after the rush with the pre-orders . but just guessing.

Nope not 60, only 120. Not sure if the snapdragon app can do 60. And using a different app might not give fair results. ...And too lazy to mess with the split thing, but if you open a video in VLC with repeat set, and then Alt Tab to the folder, and open the next, it will play ABABAB.... so compares of the three FHD are fairly easy even on a FHD display. 😇

It would be nice if deleting a profile did not leave the comments as just belonging to "Guest", but something able to not destroy context Say Guest_1 etc. Otherwise just a few deleted in an active thread like the "On production...." could render conversations completely incomprehensible as "who said what?", except the directly quoted/linked in an answer.

It reminds me of a friend of mine that in a large company was tired of his special keyboard 'disappearing', so he took of all the keytops, permuted them and put them back... Twice the keyboard 'went missing' and 'came back' 🤣 But especially for odd (say Ctrl+Fn+Alt) combinations, e-ink displaying the actual options if paused for a second would be AWESOME!

Well if the depth ends large enough so the parallax is large enough to be an issue, I guess all that is needed is a setting for an offset of the 'prints' to the most common viewing angle - Or adjusted by an eye-tracker...

There are two basic types of these cases. One with a long flap (the most common) and one with two short flaps with a magnet each,. This one is the later type, and it does not reach above the height of the lower part, and thus not in conflict. And anyway it is in the middle where the space-bar is, so even if slightly longer on another models, I do not think it will be an issue. On the modifications, there are several possibilities 1) The simplest, use it almost as is, with the top cover going to the left the same side as the keyboard, where you would have to flip it under to use.

Ah well I imaged an e-ink display with transparent keys. I do not know if they can make holes in e-ink displays yet though. But we have had LCD displays with holes for over 30 years, so...
