Well there is reduced tear to the usb port. But the long shot might again be in advantage to the manufacturing. Cheaper water proofed devices. Just one slab glued together. No ports at all. No repairability at all. The same reasons they prefer a device without a keyboard. It is again something big marketing campaigns try to force into our habits. Most certainly a software indeed. But instead of the useless SYM key it would have been nice to have a keyboard toggle key (Adapt, Forced Portrait, Forced Landscape). This would allow grabbing the open phone in portrait (which is pretty comfortable, the keyboard is alike a grip, allowing to use your other hand easily do do stuff on the touchscreen). Also this would offer a quick fix for the stuck orientation bug.

He did change the default mapping, so non waiting ' is not where waiting whatever was. Have a look here https://github.com/anssih/finqwerty/issues/2 This is maybe your issue.

Yes, but a short press on the square button and then again on firefox fixes that for me.

Have a look at US-Int. There you can enter accented characters by pressing the yellow arrow and a button (it is the same on US-Int on PC). So ä is yellow-Arrow + q, Ä is yellow-arrow + Q. ü is yellow-arrow + y and ö is + p. It takes some time to get used to it but it is faster than holding down a key until something happens 😄

I agree, that is why I think the focus should be on people out of school and with some typing to do. And there was never a better time for that. Smartphone market is saturated and boring. Everybody is thirsty for something new. And there were never so much people in IT like now. A lot of these people are young. This should not be forgotten! However since I wish the prawn was a bit smaller (maybe 5.5") and had a flat screen I may be a dinosaur myself. But that is another topic 😄

Sorry I was not clear. Of course this data is rigged too. I was just hinting that the assumption that most people in the target audience are older is useless. It is true that people younger than me have not lived during the big boom of hwkb phones. But this does not mean they can not see the advantage or did not have one of the later blackberrys etc when they were young. Just really young people don't have had any contact to kb phones at all. Well a normal scale while often have an error of 3 grams. And it can also depend on where the scale stands. So 244g is still in the margin.

That is why forums with editable topics normally need some form of history. But in my opinion it is useless to not be able to correct or refresh a post. Nobody will read through a hundred sites of stuff to get an overview. They will just open a new thread with a title like "What is a good working app for X". Editing the thread with the app recommendations would allow to have one centralized complete list (as an example).
