Just a brief summary from me, I may do better review once I used it for some longer time. But I wanted to give a short update so people see that the phone is not as bad as some people here say: I am using the phone for 4 days now and can say I am happy. Build quality is great, it feels premium! I expected it to be more bulky. I still need some time to get used to the keyboard but I love it. However, Finqwerty is a must for me to remap the layout. Fxtec tried to much on that one. The only HW thing that really sucks is the pfingerprint reader. Especially its position. I always loc

Why do you think it is a terrible phone? A lot of people, me included, do not agree with this opinion. So it would help to explain a little further, we may even be able to help you over some issues.

Use the US-International layout from here: https://android.onse.fi/finqwerty/pro1-test32.html

Only because we have no other data does not mean this data is true or better than no data at all...

Apps that works great with a real keyboard and in landscape
Doktor Oswaldo replied to EskeRahn's topic in General Discussion
Launchtime https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.quaap.launchtime/ Is a somewhat unusual launcher which works fantastic with the keyboard! just make sure to enable rotation! It has some nice features like: Keyboard works Search with wildcards Autocategorizing of apps It looks a little ugly in the default settings, but if you set nearly everything to transparent it looks pretty nice. This is the first one I tested which does not try to improve the normal launcher but does something different. -
I have no problems at all with the Sunrise Network in Switzerland

It was not part of this discussion but the biggest problem for me is that secondary functions are used with the yellow arrow not shift. This is so uncommon that I would have long to get used to it. But FinQwerty solves that problem greatly!

So this is always the case? Are the wrong speakers used?

Just tried exactly that. Nothing at all. I would wait until the hottest phase is over and then send it in (in maybe 2 months) -
You know... that are pages not posts .....

Key Mapper: FOSS app to bind keys & buttons to other keys or actions

Can't thank this guy enough! QWERTY would have been unusable for me without this! -
I can confirm that the shifted layout is somewhat strange. But now that I have the phone I understand the move. It balances the number of keys you usually need with your right and left thumb. I am glad they did not shift they qwertz. Since there Umlauts are very common it would not have made any sense. However I see myself to get used to the shifted qwerty. I just wish they had shifted the numbers too!

Agree, but everything else feels really solid, no wobbeling for me either! -
Thank you, to you too. Up to the moment I am totally happy. I got used to the hinge in minutes and fixed the keyboard layout with finqwerty. It feels great but I have to build some muscle memory again to reach tipping speeds!

Got mine a few minutes back, not that far regarding to setting it up but I can say the overall phone feels fantastic. The keyboard feels nice too but I do not like the layout (the yellow arrow thing to be more specific). But nothing that can't be worked out!

I will hopefully get mine today (praying to the parcel gods here). But I don't think I would ever sell it in any case. The worst that could happen is that I just us to view movies while cooking at home. Don't get me wrong, I would sell another phone if I am unhappy. But I complain since years about the lack of hwkb-phones! This one gets my support even if I should not like it. It is a high price to pay and I know that it is a really luxurious position to be able to pay this price, but unfortunately it is the way the world works. There will only be other phones like that if they get enou

Please pay attention if you plan to send it to your company address. Somehow the company name seems to get missing in the process. I am at least the second Person who had this issue. I advise you to inform UPS about your company name as soon as you get a TN.

The problem was they didn't got a newer chipset. 855 was not out when they started, 845 was reserved for big players (Samsung, Huawaii, etc). So if we want to make another company great we have to live with that.

Thanks for the info erik. This is nothing new for me. It sucks but of course you must keep the big customers. But the problem is again communication (I know not your fault). Mostly that everything changes all the time: The batch goes to the UK again? I thought it will be sent directly? Are the production issues fixed now? This is great news but will it hold up tomorrow? You see there was so much of change in the official Information that nobody trust anything any more. The real problem is not that the stores already got stock. The real problem is that a lot of us hav

Contact support (you must go over that stupid bot), did you choose your company address?
-
My phone is currently somewhere in the 8th sphere of parcel hell (thanks ups). But I can assure you that I haven't contacted support in anyway to jump the queue. There must be other issues. I in fact did not contact the support at all.

Apps that works great with a real keyboard and in landscape
Doktor Oswaldo replied to EskeRahn's topic in General Discussion
Oh sorry thought it was clear. Games often gave you ingame credits if you rate the game on google play. Google wants no well written reviews. Else there wouldn't be games with gambling mechanics an 4.5 stars. Google wants to show you an endless stream of highly rated content. -

But then you don't get 150 in game credits...
