720G is not a 5G chip. If F(x)tec would use SD720G, SD730G or SD732G they would not need to redesign antennas. However, I don't know if it would be as easy swap as SD662.

Lineage OS developers can fix security issues from OS any time but vulnerabilities in the SoC code is a different thing. Qualcomm included SD835 in the security bulletins atleast back in November 2020. I don't know if that is going to continue anymore. Google ended support for Pixel 2 devices (same SD835 chip) in October 2020 but Pixel 2 Preferred Care customers will receive security updates to April 2021. So, there is still some support left from Google.

This does not look good at all. Another delay for us is very frustrating and I am skeptical to the new timeline since there are so many changes. How they can manage everything? SD662 is a downgrade compared to the SD835. CPU performance is decent but its GPU lacks power. I think that they should have select SD730G (2019 Q2) or SD732G (2020 Q3) instead. And how about SD845? Geekbench 5 (single/multi): SD835: 393/1637 SD730G: 523/1677 SD662: 302/1398 3DMark SSE: SD835: 3127 SD730G: 2344 SD662: 1171 Worst thing is that Pro1 ja "Pro1-X" will be

Does anyone know what is the situation with Anbox on Sailfish? Previously it was said that getting Anbox to work should be easy task. https://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p=1559040&postcount=1816 Anbox is not as good as official Android support but better than nothing. -
What has been delivered? When is it my turn?
FlyingAntero replied to denmaarten's topic in General Discussion
Atleast Japanese tech site has received their unit. However, I don't know if it was from the Pre-Christmas Perk of something else. https://pc.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/topic/review/1297/422/ -
At least one Pro1-X QWERTZ unit has been made so far since I saw a photo of it in Twitter. If there was a shortage of QWERTZ keyboard mats, maybe it is resolved now?

The campaign is open for few hours anymore. I decided to take spare battery also so I can change the battery myself if ever needed. XDA secret perk seems to be still available.

That is not true. Initially it was clearly stated that you are able to cancel. Here is the quote: I don't know why that was changed before 11th December.

Lineage OS 17 Issues, Particularly Apps
FlyingAntero replied to jamescarruthers's topic in General Discussion
Apps are using different ways to detect if the phone has been modified. Some apps check root and others bootloader or SafetyNet status. See my post earlier for more information. If you root your phone with Magisk and use Magisk Hide module you can make many apps to work. Then you can go even further and change the decive fingerprint to "Fxtec/QX1000_EEA/QX1000:9/PKQ1.190723.001/05500.20Q202:user/release-keys" from stock with Magisk Hide Props Config. After that trick the phone will pass SafetyNet check. There are also ways to patch custom ROM to pass SafetyNet but the trick has to be -
PRO1, LineageOS 17.1 Official Builds: Discussion
FlyingAntero replied to EskeRahn's topic in General Discussion
LOS 18.0 build for Pro1 can not be official until Lineage OS team has released LOS 18.0 officially in general. LOS 17.1 became official in April 2020 but I think that this time it might happen sooner. LOS has recently reached full force after rebranding (Cyanogen Inc. saga) From XDA to Cyanogenmod to LineageOS: A brief history -
Microphone Not Functioning During Calls
FlyingAntero replied to ermghoti's topic in General Discussion
I don't know about the microphone but there was thread about ear speaker. Also, you can find couple teardowns from here. -
@tdm Would it be possible to make AICP build with SafetyNet hack to pass the check? I know that there are some ROMs (like ParanoidAndroid) which passes SafetyNet check but I don't know how it is implemented. If you don't need root then you would not need to try any Magisk Hide things to pass SafetyNet. Currently I am running Havoc OS on my Xperia XZ1 Compact and it passes SafetyNet checks by default. Indeed, the refund option is now gone even thought it was there in the begining. It is little bit strange. I got the mail below when I backed the campaing. I think that F(x)tec has proven to be trustworthy in the past since devices has been delivered or refund given (thought waiting time has been long for both). I just hope that everything is still under control and F(x)tec is not financing old Pro1 orders with Indiegogo money. I still have full trust to the company. Also, they have XDA on board. I think that XDA would not participate if there was something suspicious. XDA has the

if I order today when will I receive the phone?
FlyingAntero replied to FTN00b22's topic in Pro1 - Thoughts & questions
The order numbers are not sequential. It was discussed earlier on another thread. I tried to evaluate the total number of manufactured units based on different data sources. F(x)tec has said that they have shipped thousands units during the last 12 months (note, not ten thousands units). That means probably 2500-3000 units. Ordered units can't be much higher. -
PRO1, LineageOS 17.1 Official Builds: Discussion
FlyingAntero replied to EskeRahn's topic in General Discussion
In the past, I usually ran in to the issues if I recovered a backup from older Android version to newer (9 -> 10). Android does not handle backups very well so every time I install new Android version I start from scratch. I don't know if that was the reason on your case. -
if I order today when will I receive the phone?
FlyingAntero replied to FTN00b22's topic in Pro1 - Thoughts & questions
To me it looks like that there will be only two production runs left and next batch is going to be shipped in December. I think that "Pre-Christmas Pro1 X" backers (10 units) will be included in this run since they are also 6/128GB models. Then there will be probably the last batch in Q1 2021. It should include all the rest Pro1 orders and Pro1-X orders from Indiegogo. I am just wondering if they still want to manufacture so many different versions? Pro1 6/128GB Black (2 layouts) Pro1-X 6/128GB Blue (4 layouts) Pro1-X 8/256GB Blue (4 layouts) Note: QWERTY is d -
Will Android 11, 10 be supported?
FlyingAntero replied to Slion's topic in Pro1 - Thoughts & questions
Android 11 is already available as an unofficial Lineage OS build. F(x)tec Pro1 gets unofficial LineageOS 18.0 based on Android 11 [ROM][UNOFFICIAL] LineageOS 18.0 for F(x)tec Pro1 -
I have also bought replacement screen panel for 50$ from Aliexpress but I would prefer official screen replacement assembly with frame if the price is not too high. Previously you have been able to buy screen replacement assembly from F(x)tec (if they have stock) for 150£ (or ~200$). F(x)tec is now offering special kit with battery for the same price. However, I still think that the price is too much since you can buy the screen panel elsewhere. With the USB charging board the kit would be much more attractive. I would like replacement keyboard also but I think that it could affect t

According to the email that I received the repair kit is for Pro1 also. The screen kit looks like to be full assembly with the frame but I think that it is blue color. USB charging board would have been a good addition. Then I would back it immediately.

According to other reports at "Ghost touches and unresponsive area on lower screen" thread the issue can be fixed by reflashing the stock firmware. It is some kind of driver issue. See the posts below.

[Poll] Have You had any hardware issues with Your Pro1?
FlyingAntero replied to anonim001's topic in General Discussion
Thanks! That looks similar to my device. I think that the issue might be somewhere else. Most probably it is a hardware thing but I am planning to flash LOS 17.1 when it is released just to be sure. -
[Poll] Have You had any hardware issues with Your Pro1?
FlyingAntero replied to anonim001's topic in General Discussion
Thanks for your reply. However, I was not talking about the top of the pin where metal parts can be found from both sides. I was talking about the part where the connectors are. I marked that part with blue color on picture below. It is really small "cleft".
