The Japanese forum reported that it had arrived, so a review may be raised today or tomorrow MOD: Added link from @furukawa https://egg.5ch.net/test/read.cgi/smartphone/1567738851 (Can not see it from DK though)9 points

No idea if that's correct, but if you're referring to our fearless leader, he's more likely PhD than MD, both of which make him Doctor Chen; and if he doesn't have phd, I grant him honorary doctorate from Craig Academy (which I can also offer to anyone for half the price of the diplomas offered on the previous forum; PM for details; pro1 accepted for payment) edit: to be clear, pro1 itself is accepted as payment; pro1 cannot be used to make payment by other means, sorry for confusion. If one wants doctorate from Craig U, one must provide Pro1.8 points

For all the QWERTZ users, please set-up the physical keyboard layout after the initial setup. (Only needs to do this once) ADD (EskeRahn): During the initial set-up use the touch keyboard to enter Wifi and account credentials, until the wizard suggests you to configure the physical keyboard at the end. If you skipped the set-up by the wizard then please go to hardware keyboard setting. This can go from drop down menu when after boot, or Setting - System - Languages and Input - Physical keyboard For QWERTZ user, please click "Setup Keyboard Layouts" and select German For QW1 point

Moderator: This is a split from this sailfish thread Thanks for pinging him. I would like to be able to use TWRP to make nandroid backups of my /data partition (for Android use). Since this is shared in A/B, maybe that works already. I'd also like to be able to use "adb pull" to get the backup off the device, as well as backup the media files (TWRP doesn't include media files in /data backups). I believe "adb pull" only works in recovery mode, with the partition unmounted. I don't know if stock recovery can do that. UPDATE: Thinking about this more, as long as1 point

Same for the 'Powered by android' label. But of course we have the possibility to remove that 🤠1 point

I think Managing Director was meant by MD. But I like the diploma offer! 😁1 point

It's pretty cool actually that you can now just use the hardware keys to circumvent a nonresponsive screen, without the use of a hard reboot!1 point

Same here for the Springer Spaniel in my picture (black and white dog). The male Newfoundland (left in the picture) was, for the most part, okay with other male dogs. He did not like male pizza delivery people approaching my wife if I wasn't home. We went through more pizza guys that way.1 point

Is TWRP fully working? I saw some older information about it not support A/B partitions, but that was from July.1 point

Either method works with marginal difference equally well with and without a modified Note7 case. Though the push method gives an awesome clack when it opens, lifting the back is a more silent and more discrete method. So I tend to use the lift method1 point

And if you have a sleeve with a super loose fit, you'll end up with the phone in the pocket and the sleeve in your hand instead. Guess that option doesn't break the phone though. The sleeves I've had for my phones in the past and right now either had a super tight fit (with pull-out feature) or a locking mechanism preventing the phone from falling out. I hope the pre-order sleeve at least has either. But even if not, my current sleeve was meant to hold the Moto Z with keyboard mod attached, so it'd fit as well.1 point

Me either! It drives me *crazy* typing on a virtual keyboard. And if the typing isn't bad enough, the wrong predictive words being automatically guessed and either sent (if not found) or having to be corrected, is very aggravating.1 point

I would have to put my 5 favourite qwerty keyboard phones in this order: 1. Blackberry Passport SE 2. Blackberry Passport SE 3. Blackberry Passport SE 4. Blackberry Passport SE 5. Blackberrry Passport SE 😀1 point

I've been demanding they add a keyboard and threatening to cancel my pre-order if they don't, but they don't reply :-/.1 point

Yes it is cool. Though unfortunately as I understand it they are by some odd rules required to show the boot and any password request in portrait, even if the slider is open... 😖0 points

The middle gap of my Droid 4 proved a problem for me last week; a bank card in my pocket got wedged in between the keyboard and the screen and sliced through the flex cable, killing the display. So yes, a small middle gap is a great thing (also I won't be putting loose bank cards in the same pocket ever again).0 points
