Hi all, I just got a nice phone protector from MediaDevil this week (I found the link here on the forum) : https://mediadevil.com/collections/apple-iphone-7-accessories/products/artisanwallet-wallet-pouch-case?variant=38665797777 I prefer the "wallet" shape to a simple "pouch" because it provides 2 layers of leather on the screen. I don't want to try a drop test but I hope it absorbs more shocks! The black variant was the only option with "size 4" in stock. Dimensions are good but it's a bit tight to get in/out the phone easily and quickly. I hope the leather will fit better ove

By the comments from others I expected it to be bigger. On the lines of a really thick Galaxy-Note-whatever that would not fit well into my hands. Guess what? I think they nailed it on the dimensions. My Priv, despite thinner and shorter, is much wider and thus a PITA to hold in one hand (I am a smaller than average).

That works out to an average of about 32mA draw. I would expect around half of that for a well behaved device mostly sleeping. Indeed, I just checked my device and it is 91% after 17 hours of sitting. So that is pretty close to ideal. I have not turned on battery saver either. The ROM you are running should not have an appreciable (or any) impact on the battery draw when sleeping. It mostly affects power vs. performance while in use.

FYI ... "custom keymap" is a bit misleading... If you do have a custom keymap file in /persist, this option allows you to control whether it is loaded at boot or not. If you do not have a custom keymap file in /persist, this option does nothing.

Microsoft Launcher has a neat landscape mode. it supports customizing widgets, and a lot more options too actually. It is a robust launcher and works quite fine on my Pro1 running LineageOS. Best of all 100% free and no ads 😄 oh it can also fully sync with your PC workflow 👍

Hi. Since installing the 20200620 update, I've noticed a Wireless Update notification (a plain circle) often popping up for a few seconds then disappearing. It seems to appear pretty much each time the Pro1 gets internet access - i.e. turning off and turning on Wi-Fi can trigger it. I've never had this behaviour in all previous updates. Wireless Update is set to check Daily. Has anyone else seen this too? Is it likely to be draining my battery unnecessarily? Any ideas how to stop this? EDIT: Not just Wireless Update.

I was thrilled to receive my new Pro1. I had ordered it in November 2019 and patiently waited until it showed up on my doorstep earlier this week. Great abridged version of the instructions! For those somewhat used to flashing but maybe didn't do it for a fewa years now (my case with a Priv), these quick simple stpes helped a lot. Flashing now! Is OpenGapps still not working? I like their concept of "choose what you want" from GApps. I've downloaded MindtheGapps as well just to be on the safe side but would prefer the larger "stock" collection from OpenGapps as I understand it'd come with the Google Camera app as well..?

Just to confirm this happens to me as well and is finally starting to annoy me because it draws my attention every single time I turn on the device. I figured it was connecting to the 'update servers' or something but it really should not be notifying constantly when it only updates once a season.

It sounds like your case is made from TPU - it's what most cases are made from nowadays as it's got the best all-round performance in terms of strength, absorbing shock and coverage. You might consider LineageOS, the 0803 has an idle consumption around roughly 1% per hour But stock is only slightly worse (see the right most part of this over night) ADD: Oh forgot to mention I have NOT turned the Battery saver on.... (don't let the "51%" fool you, I had the phone plugged in between the screenshots a few minutes apart, it was down at 35% an hour ago as the graph tells.)

I don't use Finqwerty But if I don't check the 'custom keyboard' option I have the upper line yellow layouts who are broken, like !"§$%&/()=? I don't know if this is normal or not, I have try and it works... I have intalled LOS twice, with complete wiping data, and it has'nt work without 'custom keyboard'

It's the unlock command but unlock is swapped for lock.

Hey goodman_j, I'm also ready to get a case, wouldn't mind paying for a beta-quality printout in black.

I forgot to take my charger with me a few months ago (in The Before Times) on an overnight trip. Put my Pro1 on battery saver mode and made it through until I got home, probably close to 40 hrs round trip door-to-door (gotta say it was pretty low when I got in the door... but it was still on!)

Here's a previous discussion of Launchers that might help (ignore the side-track into Windows UI that happened). I have settled in with Nova, which I have used for years, and really like it, but I don't use widgets. Total Launcher gives you the greatest control, creating separate layouts for portrait and Landscape, but I found it bewideringly complex. YMMV.
