That is still the case, correct, but there aren't enough units in the first batch for all of the backers. The coming second batch will cover all IGG backers + most normal pre-orders, potentially all because we plan to be in general availability before Christmas.11 points

Apologies, but this is incorrect. IGG promotions used are a lot higher than 100.5 points

This will be the first hardware keyboard phone I have ever owned. I always wanted one but the timing never worked out, But looking at the older keyboard phones now... Those screens were just so tiny (and, thus, the keyboard too). I will never again use a phone with less than a 5.2" screen and it would really depend on what the diagonal angle was. 5.7" to 6.0" is my sweet spot. I loved my Nexus 6P. If it had a sliding keyboard... unfortunately, it died. Not a well made phone. Lots of problems with the hardware. This is why I am sooo happy the Pro1 came along. This is going to b3 points

No, nothing will be included in the Package. Both things will be sent afterwards if you get them.3 points

I think you got an extra x in yout order number -> 94xx So you pre-ordered and so you should be in the next batch. π3 points

The support is fairly responsive, I just got this reply (asking about the 2nd batch): Another 25 days π3 points

I will now never take the notification LED for granted again after switching from a Blackberry (RGB notif LED) to a budget Samsung (no notif LED). Took me a while to actually get used to unlocking my phone to check things instead of just leaving it somewhere and glancing at it every so often. I really appreciate this phone having an RGB LED.3 points

On Chen video it was clearly seen that the box can contain only one row of boxes. Also, 600 would be too many considering the fact that there aren't even 3000 orders, paid or unpaid. After pressing support a little I also got an answer, my order (22xxx) is also supposed to be delivered by the end of this month and is in "second mass batch" so it's in third batch. It seems that second batch is about to cover all igg guys and some amount of earliest non-igg preorders. Mid-November for Fxtec is from 15th to 20th, so it means three weeks after supposed shipping date of 29th October but we all2 points

I think the threads are getting very messy due to all of this merging. I would prefer if different discussions were kept separate. Thanks for all your hard work and effort!2 points

Is this still supposed to follow right after this first batch? The size differences between the two batches must be massive. Let's be honest, you probably did not make the first one this small when you could've shipped something twice the size a week or so later. This does not add up at all. This is assuming you handle batches as batches, with no intermediate shipments of parts of a batch (which wouldn't be one batch). It doesn't sound like a great idea to have the next shipment be a big one, at least from the waiting end. There are likely financial incentives to do it this way, though. I2 points

1. The case is not a case but a sleeve 2. The sleeve will not be included in the same package, but will be delivered later for free.2 points

They will not be included, the sleeve will be sent for free to all preorders and the headphones will be sent to all preorders done before the 24th of june2 points

I imagine this being the first batch, those are 20 devices on the top, so I'd expect 100 devices per box, which would equal to 600 devices in the first batch. If we are talking about 1000+ IGG backers, a litte more than half of those will receive their device in the next week or so. Also, if you are interested: The support confirmed me that they expect my device (regular order 38xxx, paid mid-october) to be delivered by the end of this month. I will "most certainly" receive it before Christmas. I'm slightly pessimistic about the end of this month for regular orders but I believe th2 points

For me, I miss notification LED of my N900. A few months ago I have found there is a "flash" for front camera in my phone and found an application to use it for this purpose, but it is too bright and is only one colour. I think RGB notification LED is a very good thing to have if you are able to set it to notify only about what you want in appropriate colour. I mean it is much better to look at the phone and see if there was any calls or SMS rather than constantly wake up the phone to activate display - if you are waiting for a call or may others call you some time, then it makes life m2 points

Ooh I didn't think of that. I looked and there it is. That's funny, none of the other messages ended up in spam.2 points

@EskeRahn, Why did you merge my thread "Post here only when you have a tracking number" when it was clearly different, provide different value, and intended to address a need in the community? I appreciate you intent to keep the forum clean but merging these threads was not helpful. For your reference.2 points

What is the deal with the order numbers if there are only <3000 orders? My order number is in the thirty thousand range. I'm kind of not trusting I'll have mine anytime soon since I guess I was a later preorder (August)1 point

But on the other hand it is a bit older, so it's a matter of what was really meant with the question.1 point

Pretty sure you've always been able to turn them off notifications completely. What seemed to change in later Android was the ability to control notifcations per app, not only disable per app, but set to notify quietly, etc. So you can still have email in your notification list, but not beep at you every time an email comes thru, etc.1 point

I think it was LG Optimus F30 (That is the last, wether you consider it good is another question)1 point

yes, you can switch it of. For me not having notification led is a no go and I would not buy the phone.1 point

I am sorry then. I always found the blinking irritating, as well as I do with charging adapters that blink or shine too bright. I always burn those LEDs out whenever it's possible. Your points make sense and I didn't know that you were able to disable them (except in the rom itself), glad this was implemented. Btw SirBacon: You might not now about automatic rules for silent modes. Or is your phone too old to have that? I think it was implemented with Android 6.1 point

Oh Thank you mcdinner! yeh you are right, i mistakenly thought extra x yeh its 94xx π1 point

I believe that your estimation is pretty accurate. I remember that Chen said that were about 300 backers who requested refund after "Q-device" was teased. And when they were still planning the production of Moto Mod Keyboards, they were aiming to 3000 units batch size.1 point
-
but thats not a "relatively small number" π Nevermind, I hope we all will get our device soon and I'm happy for all who got their email. I hope to see some reviews soon.1 point
-
We know there were 1653 "backers" in total, some were donations, so let us round down to 1500 real 'orders', and my estimate from the reactions in the comments back then was that about a thirds had refunds, but the majority 'stayed on' for coupons, so roughly 1000. I could be really wrong of course, but that is my guestimate.1 point

Android has changed in that more (most) apps do notifications, but you have more control of what happens for those notifications... ideally, you can specify that you only want sms/voicemail (for example) to flash the LED.1 point

So FYI, i got my money on my account the next open day after my refunds request. I can confidently say that they are true to there word when it come to refund. Hop to see pretty unboxing from the first batch sooon~1 point

Hey fellow Canadian! I also used my N900 for quite a few years, but I have using the Priv as well. N900 was my favourite but the performance and battery life just made it unusable long-term. Also lack of MMS really killed it.1 point

Same here. Order number 78xx. No shipping notification. No moto mod coupon. US QWERTY. Paid on July 31st. Seems pretty clear, since Chen said it, that all the orders in the first batch were for moto mod coupon customers (at least those who paid before the deadline). What isn't clear is how many of the second batch will be moto mod coupon customers and how many non-coupon customers will be in the second batch. It would be nice to get a clarification, from fxtec, on whether the mid-November estimate on the second batch means shipping from China to fulfillment centers or shippin1 point

I've been reading the forum since I placed my preorder in February of this year and now I'm glad the phones are finally starting to move. With a 54XX order number I'm guessing I'm also in the second batch but I'm not in a hurry as my KeyOne still works perfectly fine. Back then when I heard about the Pro1 from websites I follow I sent my order in right away since I've been waiting almost a decade for a device in this form factor. Congratulations to the Fxtec team for getting this far! Can't wait to hear about the first-batch users' comments and reviews!1 point

Not longer I hope... I were waiting since 03. March 2017, indiegogo backer no. 30. The certification, the design, the package, the payment, etc. everything is approved or clear. Now, they will build the Pro1 and ship the packages to us. 2,4,6 weeks perhaps, then we all communicate with our new kb phones π1 point

Yeah me too, but you must remember. What Chen is posting on TMO is no FxTec-Statement it is a private statement from Chen on a board he has used for years. So I think the actual problem is not in posting there but in the messy communication altogether.1 point

The communication is not only late, but often contradictory. Not official contradictory, but at least is a huge mess. We have following channels: Official Twitter, which does only spam Support-Team answers only direct Mails, no informations for the masses Official mails (spare) Website which has often wrong/old Information on it! This Forum which is the official Forum but we are more or less alone (Except Erik who does not communicate officially on behalf of the company) TMO where Chen does post but also not officially! On top of that, Eriks role was l1 point

They are people too, and have feelings, and can be disheartened like anyone else. Encouragement makes the world better. If you're reading this, Mr. Chen, just know that most of us are grateful that you are doing this at all, and understand that setbacks happen, and eagerly but patiently await the final glory of a new portrait keyboard slider. :)1 point

You're kidding me, right? The problem is I spend my money because you guys, as company PROMISED to ship device in 2-3 weeks after paying for preorder, when devices was not even produced. Even better! There was no even certification! I'm curious what would happen in a situation when device wasn't receive certification and company will need to redesign it.1 point
