...and what is your approximate IGG number? 🙂
-
Anyway, I have just received my Pro1X which should be a very early one of IGG orders and it has a serial number somewhat above 5000 which may mean (if they are not numbering inconsistently or randomly inside batches) it may be near 5000 Pro1s (or let's say more than 4000) around the world... or may not if the numbering does not reflect the queue.

I had this problem while traveling on a highway at one direction near a specific place several times but not always. Since a point in time I did not experience these spontaneous reboots maybe after one of the stock upgrades but definitively not since I use LineageOS on my Pro1. Anyway, I have received my Pro1X today - I plan to write something about it but basically it is well assembled, however, I feel stock system still needs improving. ...it remembers me of Pro1's stock system like the way the screen does not come up well on Pro1X after moving the phone off my head for example..

This one (at least that is what I used).

Basically, I have 'modified' finqwerty (added a new layout which is my own keymap). That makes possible to switch keymaps using system default solution. I don't know about Pro1X's actual keyboard driver but theoretically it also supports loading specific keymaps.
-
Basically that was one of the things I was fighting for regarding kernel's keyboard driver of Pro1 (it should be the same for Pro1X)... others were not really understand why it can be important...
-
Personally it is not convenient for me (and even there are letters like u/ú/ü/ű), so I set up another layout using the slant arrow which is basically functions like an AltGr for me at both sides (of my Pro1).

Unfortunately, they had no option but to build a new phone (basically mainboard then related things) from scratch or manufacture no phone at all. I don't know what they did but I think alternative OSes will come up, especially if F(x)tec may continue to supply Pro1-X for a while. As of Pro1, it took for a while for these OS supports come up but finally they became available, Pro1-X is still young in this relation.

Anyway, two-stage button of Pro1 was not perfect, it has caused some complaints. Maybe they have thought if it can not be designed easily to be better, then a one-stage button is enough....
-
Right, just said thank you @Casey for confirming it. 🙂
-
Thanks, we didn't know Pro1-X has a different button yet.

Basically it should start camera application on pressing camera button which is a default behaviour, I am receiving a popup on my Pro1 to select which camera app to start (that is a non-default behaviour). Half-pressing only works properly using stock camera app as others are not prepared for two-stage camera buttons. It may also happen Pro1-X does not have a modified camera app which handles this button properly, but otherwise I don't use stock application on my Pro1 as it was not really stable - for that, a 3rd-party camera app takes several times better photos, but Pro1-X has a diffe

Basically this is the behaviour what some digital cameras or even Nokia N900 did. So pressing it half-way, it prepares for taking a photo (setting focus for example), then it takes a photo when fully pressed. This functionality has worked on Pro1 using its native camera app but mostly not using 3rd-party apps. Basically I have not really used that button, mostly because there is no official silicone rubber for its back and there is no bump for this button on the one which I currently using and which was made for a different phone. However, it is not really easy to feel these two sta

As far as I remember well, a non-applied screen protector was shipped together with Pro1.

LineageOS 19.1 Official Release for Pro1
VaZso replied to wapsi's topic in Pro1 - Thoughts & questions
Extended or maybe eXclusive as it was planned to be only one manufacturing run in a special colour and yes, there were special options. Anyway, I don't know if original plan was needed software modification or not, but if so, it should had been only a slight modification which would also be running on Pro1, so practically it is close to nothing. Because of a redesign was necessary, unfortunately, it has caused also software incompatibility. I would not think higher amount of RAM and Flash were intended to be exclusive for Pro1-X but blue colour is. (Pro1 was practically prepared -
I am holding shift to type capitals, except when I want all caps. The basic shift, then character behaviour does not really disturb me, but the double-pressed shift causing a caps lock-like behaviour which is really annoying and that is what I hate so much.
-
I don't know Pro1-X stock system as I have no Pro1-X yet. Basically I got used to type without sticky shift on stock OS of Pro1 and tend to use Caps Lock instead, but sometimes I press shift, change my mind (twice), then it writes only capitals, I press caps lock which does not help, then back to caps lock normal state, then shift key... so it disturbs me. :S
-
I don't know the actual part of stock OS, but Pro1 has a very different (and better) keyboard driver and a bit different setting which basically allows to redefine keyboard layouts and it has sticky shift (which I don't like) but non-sticky slant arrow (yellow arrow). As far as I know, this part was not changed in Pro1-X so it should work using the same keyboard driver. Basically this behaviour makes the problem harder to fix because it is hard to reproduce.

I think it means they have changed their contractor, so there is a new team/company working on its software.

Pro¹ X – state of production and delivery
VaZso replied to Rob. S.'s topic in Pro1 - Thoughts & questions
...or simply FedEx has messed up intended delivery order by disassembling big package and opened smaller packages in a different order. Anyway, F(x)tec may have thougt shipment of the whole batch to be quicker, maybe there is a huge workers shortage. -
Try LineageOS, basically it solves every problems. 🙂 My phone is much better since I use LineageOS - it has became a different device. 🙂
-
Have you checked reference number inside the e-mail sent by FedEx? It should contain a string like "FX Indiegogo-XX" where XX is your perk number. If that number is not yours, it may happen that stranger is another user of F(x)tec... otherwise it is clearly a wrong address of yours.

Pro¹ X – state of production and delivery
VaZso replied to Rob. S.'s topic in Pro1 - Thoughts & questions
Yes, it seems to be somewhat random. As far as I saw in one of their previous updates, there was a big box... inside big box, there were smaller boxes ("middle" box), and inside smaller boxes, there were individual Pro1-X boxes... So I think it depends on the order the middle boxes were opened which may happened from top to bottom but may not evenly at every rows... but that is only a guess. 🙂 -

Definitively no. I am one of the very first perks and received an email from FedEx today (and also from IGG since then) that my phone is being sent. My last name starts with V anyway. 🙂
